i just tried this, and the powerband does feel smoother. However, it feels like the boost doesn't come on as hard at low rpms, which may be what y'all are lookin for. It feels like it loses less power over 5.5krpm, too. The whole powerband feels smoother. (this is all butt dyno, so take it for what it's worth, which is not much)
gotta get a boost gauge and really see what is going on... It feels likes the boost doesn't hit as hard in the low RPMS, but it may be because there is less lag. (to me, turbo cars feel fast because you push the gas pedal and the power comes on a bit later, decoupled from the gas pedal... the 335i, from the factory, tunes a lot of that out) My car is fully stock except for the JB2. YMMV. |
