I know about that key but in my car it does not work, apparently the lock has some defect which I'll address soon. It does not turn counterclockwise as it should; does clockwise but nothing happens. Trust me, I tryied this way too many times and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though!

Its good to hear that the AA tune is working out for you.
Keep us posted on the tune... I would like to see if anything pops up on the BMW diagnostic software when you get it checked out.

I installed my active processor yesterday and am really pleased with the performance.
adaptation was fast...after a 15 minutes of driving and a couple of WOT the car starts to haul ass. the power feels very linear and smooth to redline. low end torque is great as well. traction in second gear is an huge issue with stock RFT. car has alot of pull in higher gears as well. 5th actually pulls hard. you can hear the turbo spool a little bit more too. exhaust note is deeper with WOT as well. will post stock and tuned dynos in a couple of weeks. Many thanks to the AA guys...always available and helpful. not sure what next mode will be....maybe DP or Exhaust. may try BMS air filter kit as well. |

eugene, not to sound like a fan boy, I do appreciate you testing out different tune. But you kind of contradicting yourself when you stated "I simply decided to do something instead of waiting for something. It has been a good decision." But you ARE waiting for the software since nothing is available yet. I am willing to jump ship as fast as any body else, if I see a superior product but mine has no problem so far.

I think you could open your eyes, there are more good products around than the PROcede. Of course, you can wait until you get what you really like but I found this waiting really annoying. I am happy with my AA Active Processor now and when you are happy with your PROcede we both got what we wanted. Let's see how long it takes until v2.1 is in your car and whether it is what you are currently promised. BTW, I'm not waiting for any special map, I plan to install the FMIC and the DP's with the current map. If it works well, fine, if it doesn't, I will request for a fix. Cheers, Eugen |

AA says +55whp, +70wtq on a stock car. IMO nonexaggerated. I'm using 95-96 octane AKI / 100 octane RON gas. The tune has good low- AND high-end torque. I've seen 14psi max. boost ( including spikes ) up to now ( = 13.2 psi constant boost ). Those numbers may raise a bit when it gets hot in the summer.

Some update after 1 week:
I can shift in DS mode by just letting the car shift at redline, no issues. The tune feels healthy and strong. As already mentioned, no traces in the ECU. It seems that my milage increased compared to the PROcede V2 and the JB2H, but this still has to be verified. Well, AA can tune the 335i, I like how the car feels now. Very, very nice daily driver . |

Thanks for taking the time out for the review....
I was pretty sold on the idea of the processor until I looked at the install directions and it does not look like something I can take in an out very quickly. Mind you I never looked at the Proceded or Helix install so this my be par for the course.

How's throttle response Eugen? For instance, with Dinan the complaints were you have to go past 50% to get the tune to kick in. How would you characterize the AA tune?

The tune does not kick in. The torque is always there. The JB2H provides an exact copy of the OEM torque curve, just higher. The AA Active Processor has more-low end and at least the same high-end torque as the JB2H.

Hi Eugen, I've been looking at your posts for a while now and you give great detailed information which is much appreciated. I Just got the AA software yesterday and the instructions are clear and straight forward however this is my first time installing something like this, how long would it take to install the software? I don't have time during the day so I would have to do it after work by thit time its starts to get a dark and unfortunately I don't have a garage.
