I forgot tekken. Tekken 2 and GT1 were the first playstation games I ever had. Those were the days.

Hideo Kojima and Konami have stated countless times that MGS4 is a PS3 exclusive. What else do you need when the maker, producer, director and the manufacturer tell you that? Some forums like neogaf will even ban a 360 fanboy if they bring up the topic, because the rumor surfaces every week.

And please do NOT link any articles with an April 1st date!

In any event, the game in its current form wouldn't fit on a DVD anyways. The game has been confirmed to be shipping on a 50G dual-layer Blu-ray disk!

Just buy a PS3 so you can play every good exclusive game for every console, geez... $399 is not THAT much cash and there is a rumor of a MGS4 bundle for $399!

uhh i own a ps3...but no games...theres nothing good(in my eyes) worth buying

i agree...but the hd/blu ray technology wasnt huge at the time

True, they obviously did it to save costs, but the thing that annoys me is that they were so adamant that a DVD was plenty of space and no one would need any more, when it's EXTREMELY obvious to anyone who has a clue that having that extra space for bigger textures would be very helpful. To this day they'd deny that there is any need for anything else, but it hasn't been true for one second, and never will be.

well i wouldnt be so sure...Xbox is very good at compression...the only reason ps3 needs so much is cuz everything is uncompressed...

visually i have to say when comparing game to game....the 360 is better

They're both great consoles that cater to entirely different audiences. This is exactly like trying to compare Mercedes Benz with BMW. Sure, similar in some regards, but they're for different people. It's a matter of tastes. Better yet, why not buy both and quit trying to justify purchases. Eh? People on this board are driving cars in the general range of $35-55k. What's $399 to ya?

You know, this is the best answer i've heard all day. Fanboys/console wars are for kids that can't afford them all. Just hook all of them up to your tv, and smile. Having them all, you'll generally gravitate towards one moreso than the others. I play the playstation more not because its a playstation or I don't lke xbox, but simply because I've been using the same controller for 10 years and it just feels right to me. Hmmm, picking the console that feels right to you.. what a concept

To be honest the only reason I bought my ps3 was for blu ray and FF13...and the possibility the MGS4 doesnt go to xbox...maybe haze....but really everything else doesnt really tickle my fancy too much ...

loyalist im not trying to justify any purchase, im just simply stating which is the better system(to me)

Some nice titles there - glad I've got a PS3 aswell. I only bought it for GT5 and bluray.

Can't remember who mentioned the free online for the PS3 - thats a good point and one I missed. Shame its so poor compared to the 360 version.

$399? I got the 80GB plus a HDMI cable and it cost me $640.

I only have 3 HDMI inputs on my TV. HDMI1 - HD Cable box HDMI2 - DVD player that will be swapped with PS3 when it gets here Friday. HDMI3 - XBox?

actually no...i used a cheapo hdmi cable for my ps3 and the video could occasionally cut out

switch to monster and never had a problem again

cables do make a difference...any person who appreaciates hd can tell you that
