The BMC is definitely better than the ITG; not sure if the Helene is as good or better than the BMC Filter though...that would be interesting to see the results.

I would bet that we get more HP from these filters than from an exhaust upgrade.

+1, I would also like to see how the BMC stacks up against the Helene. Any updates on this?

First of all thanks for the Dyno testing

In my opinion however, none of these lines are statistically significantly different form one another. I am sure the Helene is a great filter, as good of a drop in as you are going to get, but most of the restriction of the OEM airbox isn't the filter so there's no way to see much of a difference. Also testing a used OEM filter vs new AM filters is flawed and taking the 3rd run rather than the best run of each is also a bias.

Nice testing with 3 runs of each though, but you should have presented all the data if you weren't going to use the best run from each filter.

I personally dont think you should expect much more than better filtering and longer life from a drop-in on this car.

The best run from each filter WAS represented in this test; it also happened to be the 3rd run for each filter.

With regard to the new/used comment, it's true that ideally the test would be run with all brand new filters. This test was done with filters that had no more than 1000 miles on them, so I think the results are still valid.

That's why I'm doing the dyno testing.

Stay tuned for Round 2 of testing, hopefully conducted this weekend.

cant wait till the Helene comes out. Drop in, easy. Filtration is great and improved power. How can you go wrong. The install takes 30 seconds and im positive theres no factory warranty issues.

Hum, what you said is really not true as there is no big section reduction in the air box expect were the intake area of the filter but it very short in length. The filter is the most restrictive item in this air box and the shape and pleat count will drive the flow behavior more than most designs due to the small room constraints. BTW, you do understand what the ISO test is. This filter is meets the OEM specfications.

As for the testing it one only ones that included boost pressure so without this the test is complete garbage as we have unknown variable. The date should be reviewed for the boost delta in the runs to determine the validity of this test as well. Honestly, I haven't even scratch the surface what should be done an reviewed.

It will be the other way around unfortunately. I wish it was true but this is the way it will be for any intake mods.
