that's a good question. i would think that most aftermarket products would be better than stock. so, no. i'd say it's better. you definitely have to clean the filter more often since there isn't a cover, though. best shoot that question to terry.
anyone else chime in? |

Schweet...I'm curious to know what the boost levels will be with the filter as opposed to the stock airbox. If we're really freeing up a restriction then we should see some higher levels...

after 3 days of driving the car feels great. i've been doing hard runs everyday to keep the car adapting to the SSTT. the spooling noise is wicked loud and definitely draws attention.
just side note, i broke loose in 2nd today (step) going hard through the gears. i feel like the car is making more power than before down low which is really exciting!! stay tuned for vids, etc. |

Just got done installing the BMS filter - wasn't too hard but took me a while because I'm a noob (girlfriend says boob)
I hope I did it right - it doesn't appear to be touching but in one spot i can't exactly tell. The filter didn't exactly fit straight onto the pipes included with the filter but pretty close - I'm hoping there's no leaks or anything. If installed incorrectly - anyway to tell? Filter catches on fire if touching? If the clamps that fit the filter to the pipes aren't attached correctly - any odd noises? The sound is amazing though! Can finally hear my little snails. |

everyone seems to have that problem. i was worried about it as well, but after over a week of driving it's been rock solid. just go in and retighten the clamps to make sure. if something was loose you'd know |
