It's styled right for the crowd that typically buys into JDM cars. My only issues, design-wise are the rear fender protrusions, and the triple tip exhaust. It's also a shame that it's not painted championship white.

I would overlook the crazy styling if this car was offered with awd. At over 300hp and torque, I just imagine either a lot of torque steer and wheel spin, or a lot of interference from the traction control. Honda's SH AWD is actually pretty good, and it's something that should've been implemented into this civic, especially for how much it'll cost.

My 16-year old self loves it. My 36-year old self, no way I could show up to work in that. Would be a fun commute though.

I applaud Honda. Good job on being the only big Japanese auto manufacturer to actually have some nuts and make cars that are worth talking about. They are going to sell so many of these because the market is full of boring commuters and Millennials (me) want exciting cars that remind them of their fast and furious adolescence. Especially now that we have disposable incomes and don't give a shit about the perception of "people at work" or clients who are secretly bored of their mundane life and wish they could be fun again.

Still just as much fine to drive today as it promised back then. Amazing car. Don't think we will ever see a car that is, that simple and that hard wired into your senses, again.

Would not be surprised to see this in the new movie talking all hippidy and hoppidy.

It's definitely fast, but way way too furious for me....and front wheel drive, nah bruh.

So does the red pinstripe that circles the entire lowest part of the frakking car count as a ground effect? Or maybe it's one of those reflective pinstripes? Or, better yet, is it an LED accent light?

This isn't JDM. This is WTFJDM!?!

I would love to have one of these. I had a chance to buy a fairly clean, 2-owner one w/ 94K miles on it for $5,900 back in 2012 and I didn't. I was kinda strapped at the time, so I passed. Then of course I made a job switch and made more in my first 2 months than I did the last 6 at my previous job. Still kick myself over letting that thing go. And I'm not even a Honda guy by any means.

Reminds me of an autocross event I ran in. Was walking the pit/staging area and came across a Type R. I was with my GF at the time and said..."Look a Type R". The owner said, "Yeah, it's a real Type R and not a poser." That was when the sticker rage was starting to get out of control. I tell you those guys ran the piss out of that Type R and it held up. They were banging off of the rev limiter during their run. When I said they, the had a group of guys driving the same car. During the one heat, the car was staged twice with two different drivers. The first guy would run his heat, go back in to the pits, and then line up the car for the second run for the second driver. That car literally didn't get much rest. It held up to all the abuse.

I don't understand this. It's like they went to the autoparts store and bought one of everything for the concept.

The rear fender is a mess. WTF is going on with the rear roof line. Fender widenings themselves look tacked on, and the three exit exhaust (with one small tip in the middle) is just a bit silly.

Not so much boy racer, as it looks like the designer had a stroke.
