You could send him to The EJT86 School for Learning! Tuition for the first semester is only $500. Yes I do take checks. Open enrollment starts now!
Can you please forward your accreditation letter? CSU is costing more than that each month.

Gift him with the wisdom that college is a scam and convince him to learn a skilled trade.

Congrats! He just got a new laptop for Christmas last year. I thought about a smart watch, but he's more into actual watch movement.

I've actually been working on this. We live in TN and have the Hope Scholarship here so he'll get a free education (well, a free start anyway). I'm all for someone learning as much as possible. I can still hear my father telling me, "The only thing people can't take from you is an education." I never went to college. I have had many of my employees, throughout the years, explain how upset they are that they spent so much money on school and ended up working for someone who only stepped on a campus to attend a party. With his new toy (the Jetstar) he is really starting to appreciate the hands on work of restoring that thing. Great suggestion and very accurate in my opinion.

I'm going to suggest an Emotional Support Lady of the Evening for the following reasons:

1. Graduation is a rite of passage and the first step to adulthood. Very emotional.

2. Don't give cash...memories are more precious and may have an emotional component.

3. Cash can be blown at a few dollars at a time and boom it's gone. Not so with an Emotional Support Lady of the Evening.

Go with the Emotional Support Lady of the Evening for a present he won't ever forget.

Cheers-mk

Let him buy his own watch, if that's his thing. My dad gave me a GMT and I never wore it. It took me into my 30's to care about watches and I bought something that meant something to me.

But ideas for things that he might actually enjoy. A good fountain pen, like a Visconti for example. A good pair of Alden shoes or similar. A pair of Red Wing, Wolverine, Truman or Viberg boots. A waterproof ski/climbing jacket, a tent, a Western Mountaineering sleeping bag. A serious pocket knife. COTA F1 tickets. A Filson briefcase. A Schott or Aero leather jacket.

All good suggestions. Watches are very much his thing though.

The repeater would be more his style. He won't be getting one of those until dad breaks 6 figures/week though.

Ive recently been contracted by a guy (who drives a Corvette by the way) to sell calling cards. Calling cards are the way of the future and they’re growing so rapidly they basically sell themselves. Send me that $500 and I’ll get you in so you can sell these cards and make a fortune really quickly

Hey, this Prince just faxed us, he needs a way to understand our culture so he can send $48mil this way. Maybe I could introduce, then he can buy his own ridiculously-priced watch. Send me the $500, and I'll wire you the contact info for this Prince.
