Aye an' a bit of Mackeral settler rack and ruin ran it doon by the haim, 'ma place well I slapped me and I slapped it doon in the side and I cried, cried, cried. The fear a fallen down taken never back the raize and then Craig Marion, get out wi' ye Claymore out mi pocket a' ran doon, doon the middin stain picking the fiery horde that was fallen around ma feet. Never he cried, never shall it ye get me alive ye rotten hound of the burnie crew. Well I snatched fer the blade O my Claymore cut and thrust and I fell doon before him round his feet. Aye! A roar he cried frae the bottom of his heart that I would nay fall but as dead, dead as 'a can be by his feet; de ya ken? And the wind cried Mary. Thank you. Former girlfriend managed a clothing store that had a loop of pop music tunes. One of the employees said, "I really like that 'no regrets' song." Former GF was puzzled as the employee described it as a synth pop tune with soft vocals that repeated "no regrets."
Finally she figured it out. "No, that's Pets by Porno for Pyros. They're singing about aliens invading and taking over the world, then 'We'll make great pets.'" |

When I was in college, there was a band that played "Juan Corona," after the central California serial killer.
Do you wanna bury me, bury me, In a shallow grave now, Juan Corona? They stopped playing Stairway to Gilligan (yep, the Gilligan's Island theme to the tune of Stairway to Heaven) after Led Zeppelin threatened to sue... but years later, Robert Plant told NPR it was his favorite cover of the song. |

My Aunt swore that the Beatles were singing 'The girl with colitis goes by' - I was never a big Beatles fan, but that stuck in my head nicely.
And of course hearing that guy saying 'kill your parents' at the end of just about every Judas Priest song. |

I read somewhere that the lead singer for the one-hit-wonder band that did Louie Louie was so drunk when he recorded that song, that today he has no idea what the lyrics really were

I liked the songs that I thought were about breakfast items:
Bob Marley, Stir it Up: "cereal, little darling, cereal! Taylor Swift, Blank Space: "got all us Starbucks lovers" |

When I was little I remember looking for Night Moon by Seger on a jukebox to discover it was actually Night Moves.
For years I thought big ole jet airliner was big ole jet had a light on Just recently found out that it's not: I am the Sun, I am the air... but actually: I am the son, I am the heir, of a shyness that is criminally vulgar |
