am I dreaming or what? I see Head-Up-Display?
look closely at the middle hump, it's differnt from the current one, and it looks like the HUD in 5 series.
who knows? Maybe BMW will offer more tech for the 3 series from now on since 1 series is now the baby BMW in the states.

besides that, it looks like the we will have a new light switch design much like the 7, new start/stop button, new cup holder cover, new audio control knob, and new wood trim + iDrive

Overall, I am not that impressed with the LCI as the headlights now look weird and tired. The front and rear bumper seems to be over worked. The rear light reminds me of some others cars that are not BMW They should have kept the original shape the pre LCI rear light and just take down the white part instead. Perhaps we will see a blackline option (which is very likely) that will change my opinion?

Note that for the US, the MY09 335i sedan will have 17" Style 284 wheels. Sports Package will give 18" mixed tires with Style 287 wheels.

Can anyone tell from the pics which size wheels are on the 335i Sedan? Are the 18" Sports Package wheels shown in the Sedan pictures?
The wheels on the sedan are 17". The wheels on the wagon are 18". I have a feeling the wheels on the wagon will be the sport package wheels. Here's some close up pics of the two...

Combine this with the SAME creature and luxury comforts of an E92 or E90 and the wagon-with the right powertrain (335i or 335D) becomes a very compelling vehicle. Audi and Volvo do not turn away from this market. BMW has yet to understand that some of us really and truly lust after a vehicle such as a 335 deisel wagon with the very same sporting bloodlines of the E92. Yes, when we are behind the wheel-we would love to see ourselves in a M3 or E92 coupe-but our jobs and finances dictate a workhorse carriage--we just want the hot bits-the DCT tranny, the M-tech kit, the nice alloys, the sport tuned road hugging suspension, the twin turbo tech AND the gas mileage of a Diesel or frugal twin-turbo direct injection-whipped cream smooth revvin' in-line 6 that nobody does as well as BMW. AND we want it in a "LONG ROOF" E91 wagon. Not an AUDI or a WOW-VO.
So come on BMW-N. A. give us the 335D E91 Touring!
And give us the spec that gives an American customer who is driving a "wagon" the same street cred it has in Europe!

Anybody at BMW NA listening?

Malbec
I agree! Make mine a 335xi E91 Touring with DCT. In lieu of this being available, I will most likely order a sedan & sacrifice the rear storage room & DCT. Anybody at BMW NA listening?

+1

The I-Drive is meant to be used while driving the car and should not require looking down at the buttons to make a selection. Basically, the buttons just offer shortcuts to the separate menu and home. These are easily accessed by just using the knob.

I really like the rear tail light assembly on the sedan. Much better than current '08 models.

Not feeling the front headlight assembly, especially the turn indicators.

Overall, beautiful car!

Overall, nice. The front is a bit fussy, but maybe it's just the pics.

I will say that the wagon looks awesome and an E91 335i (or maybe even 335d) would definitely be the car in my garage if it were available here in the US.

Here in Europe, they sell by the boatload, I can assure you. In fact, the sedan version is often viewed as rather low rent, a travelling salesman's car, and slightly tacky by comparison. The Touring (and obviously the coupe) are seen as more upmarket. Not saying whether I agree. But that's the fact of how the market is on this side of the pond.

Blacklines conceptual look sweet I wonder if they will have blacklines for the LCI...

Overall, I like the LCI save for the organic front bumper. I love the F01-ish headlights, the new colors/trime, i-drive and LEDs the most. I can't wait to see the M-tech bits for the LCI.

You are totally right!
Here in europe Wagons/tourings are so normal as a in us a suv. On the highways over here you see mostly wagons/tourings.
I hope the us opens there eyes and go buying wagons!
