As for the boost you have recorded, it sounds just fine given your altitude. You're atmospheric pressure is lower than our's is down here at sea level. So your 16psi of boost is only equivalent to perhaps 14-15psi at seal level. To confirm, conduct a datalog and make sure logs max out no greater than 15-15.5psi. In the datalog, "boost" is somewhat of a misnomer. What it is really measuring is manifold absolute pressure which is independent of atmos pressure Shiv |

With v3, this is the first time, we started off from scratch (with a "clean sheet of paper") with 6ATs in mind. And Kyle has provided a lot of feedback with respects to shifting performance and street driveability. We were pleasantly surprised to see these new approaches benefit 6MTs as well. v3 is such a dramatic departure from what we have ever done with the PROcede. There are 3 new closed loop PID sytems working in parallel. Everything from fuel pressure, wastegate duty cycle, throttle position, manifold pressure, IAT, shift action, etc., is being used to create a working engine model that the PROcede uses to predict desired output. This is why the system makes the kind of power it does while NOT sacrificing an ounce of smoothness. Before, balancing performance and driveability was somewhat of a zero sum game. If you set the boost target high, the change in power output with respect to time (dP/dt) would create an unwelcome driving condition. In fact, at its worse, the factory ECU would see the signs of this and react in opposition by adjusting valve timing and auto-adjusting throttle angle. With v3, we've managed to be completely pro-active with regards to getting actual torque output to be equal to desired torque output. This means very little over-shoot or self-adjusting behavior. To give you an idea of one of the things we are doing, one of the tables in the v3 map is the factory wasteagate duty cycle table. With the PROcede knowing what duty cycle it takes to acheive the desired boost, we can break down the factory duty cycle output into its individual corrective components (Proportional, Derivitive and Integral) and adjust each one individually. With v2, by comparison, we simply added duty cycle on top of the factory output based upon change in boost target. I'll would be happy to go a lot deeper into this but given the atmosphere here, I'm going to keep specifics to myself Cheers shiv |

Only because I've seen it come up a couple times, isn't the traction nanny only for AT cars also?
I was thinking so since how does the ecu know what gear an MT is in?

Shiv,
I ordered a PNP harness upgrade. Currently have a v2-v3 upgrade installed by Dustin. Any Idea when the next batch of harnesses will be shipped out? I cannot use the new maps until I get it. Thanks |

If you had the V2-V3 PnP installed while in Austin you could have just sent in that harness and had them send out a new one for free. There was no need to pay $375 when you have 98% of the harness already.

Kyle wanted to say that all the beta testing and input you have given to Shiv to finally produce this new beta map for the AT is appreciated!
I am really happy with the way the car feels and the driveability of the car is surpass any expectations so far...Its so damn silky smooth during shifts under normal driving and during spirited driving I no longer feel the engine bucking from transmission downshifting when you are coming to a stop and then immediately accelerating....I felt this alot with the old V3 map, which wasn't a problem, but when u load this new map, the difference is felt immediately! |

For me it softened the power delivery too much from a roll with the auto trans. It was great for launches and limiting wheelspin. I much prefer the non-nanny map.

I don't know if this is grounded in fact or if my car just decided to drive like it should have been driving yesterday, but after the firmware and map update the car is finally pulling like a bat out of hell. I've been flooring the car all week long (drag strip on Sunday) a few highway pulls here and there throughout the week and the car simply never felt this fast. I actually felt as if my car was getting slower as I was getting used to the power these last few days, but the car actually scared me yesterday when I got on the throttle. Also my dsc lights are finally lighting up like they used to when I had my procede v1. I thought my tires and wheels were simply too heavy to really light up my dsc but everytime I got on the throttle yesterday dsc would light up. I remember going about 60mph and dropping it down two gears. DSC lit up like a Christmas tree at 60mph and then I was at 105 mph before I even realized it.

Not if you have a set of drag radils on when you're at the strip going for the best times.
