Question for the ones that got the 1.1v:

I know that it increases lower end power, but do you think that the higher end rush that everybody has mentioned has suffered because of this?

Or is it as strong on the top end as it was with 1.0v?

Never had the 1.0 map. Just installed the pnp this morning. The lurch that existed with the JB2 right off idle at very light throttle openings is gone ( I was still using the first design solenoid bypass and that probably was part of the lurch) . Certainly no where near the lowend grunt that the JB2 had in the 1500 rpm range.

I think iv got a little extra mpg at low speeds now compared to the first design solenoid bypass also.

hey guys i have the 30.2 software, it got upgraded when i took it in last time...

I have a question will this tune be detectable...i had a scary experience recently and i just dont want to risk it...

Has anyone taken it in with this software?

Also what cars have people run with this jb3?

Will it take out a e55 with just the tune and drop in.

I got a friend talking a lot of smack with a e55 lol

heard in the other forum that a slightly modded 335 with JB3 took a e55amg by a car length up to something like 120mph+....think the 335 was lyle lucas.

for some reason the thread was closed (which is very unusual over there).
maybe their was some fish to the story, or some other problem. ?? idnk.

note that i had read in the M5 forum that e39 M5 can have alot of trouble with an e55amg...so i am not certain at all that it is possible for even a well modified 355 with JB3 to take an e55 amg.

i would like to know myself

you will need JB3 with 100 octane to stay with the E55 is its a kompressor or 03/04+

M.A.C.K. on this forum beat a E55 pretty good maybe 3+ cars no problem.
he has JB3 1.1v, FMIC, DP, DCI, 100 octane.

the same E55 was beaten by member BALLZZZ
V3, Forgre DV, FMIC, DP's. no intake, stock exhaust, stock intake
videos are up of this video, beat E55 by 2-3 cars maybe more by 130mph from a rolling 30-40?

i would say a JB3 with straight 100 octane will keep u neck and neck with a E55. since 100 octane can make up for DP and a FMIC.

p.s. thread is back up

I think you should set it up so people can choose what maps they want on their chip. High Oct/High/Low/Valet/Cruising

I would personally pick High/Valet/Cruising.

I recently got a JB3 like 2 days ago and my firends own a E55 (211) bone stock and S5 bone stock. Running on 1/4 93 and 1/4 100 octane the E55 cant pass me. Did like 10 runs and i always get a half hood lead than after i hit 130(limiter) he takes off off course. S5 is EASY win. Both S5 and E55 was running on 93 and i was running on mix with 100 oct.

Also i noticed E55 doesnt run great ALL day IMO or it was just his car maybe.
He only has 35k miles on the car but after like 30 min of sprited driving his car seems to lack speed/power after a while and his oil temp rises like a mofo.

0-130 is easier for me than 60~130 at higher speed is where the E55 keeps going...

your XI is slowing you down a bit i bet on the higher end. pour some straight 100 octane in there, let it adapt and do some runs. if your AT drop the hammer at 2,500 since your XI you should show him your rear without a problem.

p.s., E55's have a major issue with there I.C. pumps from the factory, they get heat soaked fast.

Just installed it today, no major problems took me about 1hour. Really great tune, it still needs to adapt but first impression is a very nice and smooth power delivery, really changed the car in my opinion. Will see in a couple of days with some high speed testing :-)

The only complaint that I have is the gas mileage.
It seemed like when I was doing some beta testing, the gas mileage was better but now it's much worse.
Yes, it could be bad gas but I just think that the newer maps are richer than the previous maps.

With my custom tuned Procede V2, I was getting 25 mpg on an average.
V3 went down to 21 mpg on average.
JB3 started at around 24-25 mpg and now it's about 20 mpg.
I havent' changed my driving style.

Hopefully, Terry is still in the works of developing a "lean cruise" map for those who do a lot of driving.

I do get 20 now in my brother's car with JB3, but on long trips, I see 31, 32 mpg!

I haven't seen that in a long time.
I went to Vegas and I didn't even come close.
I got 22 mpg.

on the highway, you shoauld RESET your TRIP computer to see exactly what MPG u are getting during that trip.

p.s. the JB3 doesnt work during idle or before 50% idle, so highway you should be seeing close to 30mpg if driving normal.

my SSTT gets 32MPG on the highway on a 100 mile trip i just took.
