Plus if we are taking wives and g/f's I doubt they will be best pleased if we try and set a new record time for the Stelvio Pass!!

Trouble is, it's the police that determine whether you're racing and no amount of calm debate is ever going to change their minds. Reasoning is completely foreign to any police officer no matter what country they're "protecting". That's a prerequisite to getting the job.

I am still making many enquiries and doing a lot of research on this trip. Its something that needs careful planning. I'm trying to work out what is realistically achievable in the time as I want to avoid us being knackered every day. The trip might even stretch out to 2 weeks, but we'll see.

I'll join up! I'm gonna be away from May to middle/end of August '09 in the dirty shitty Afghanistan but if i'm around when you plan the road trip, I'll go. I'd probebly break off in Italy as I'm planning on driving next summer when I get back from the crackistan to Rome for my summer vacation. Sure would be a blast of a time. Hope I'm around for it!! Keep us posted mate.

Cheers!

I'm exploring whether the following is feasible:

Day 1 - Travel to Nurburgring (brief stop at Spa-Francorchamps)
Day 2 - Drive down to Munich, BMW Museum
Day 3 - Neuschwanstein Castle, Stelvio Pass, stay in Bormio
Day 4 - Bormio to Lake Garda
Day 5 - Day off, relax at Lake Garda
Day 6 - Ferrari Factory at Maranello
Day 7 - San Bernadino Pass, lunch in Liechtenstein, stopover at Lindau, Lake Constance
Day 8 - Lindau to Luxembourg
Day 9 - Luxembourg to Eurotunnel, then home

NINE COUNTRIES IN NINE DAYS!!
