Wow....just took a look at the app on my phone. Yep, that's going to be fun to play with all of those settings now!

To be honest, I couldn't care less if my car is 0.2 secs slower than another, its not a drag car. I got the car because of its tunability and the fact that I like straight six engines and its fun.

If I wanted a drag car, I wouldn't have got a rear wheel drive car.
makes sense. i bought my car specifically to drag race and daily drive, so thats why i got an awd auto.

every tenth and mph matters to me and sutphin tune got me .3, i especially love when its 'free' power that i dont have to install. i love adjusting a tune, changing nothing else and finding a better et/trap.

Yea I’m looking for this info and a lot of other info is being said.

The trans already shifts smooth in drive and if it shifts smoother with Xhp, then cool. Not really worried about how it shifts in drive or sport, unless drive shifts will be harsher/jerky.

Looking to see if shift speed is noticeable in M mode only. Only reason I want the flash is to increase M shift speeds.

Drive shifts are smooth in all stages. I'm on stage 3 and its buttery smooth.

Sports can be jerky with downshifts but that can be resolved to a large extent with custom shiftmaps.

In manual with a light constant throttle, I found the downshifts are fast and not jerky.

I did service the gearbox though (oil, filter, Mechatronic Sleeves, valve body etc) your mileage may vary.

It's definitely better than stock, just don't think it'll shift like a DCT because it won't.

The point of xHP (or any performance type trans flash) isn't to make the transmission shift soft, smooth, and comfortable. The point is to make it shift quick, firm, and positive....

As far as quicker shifts in M mode....yes, it shifts quicker.

Having fresh fluid, good seals, and new shift solenoids also helps.....

I'm in the UK and haven't even seen a single Xdrive N54 335i on sale, they must be pretty rare here, loads of F30 Xdrive cars about though.

I installed it maybe 6 months ago, definitely shifts faster up and down! I fully rebuilt my valve body with a zip kit and did the solenoids and seals!

I was slipping gears before and after all that and stage 3 it's shifting great (I think I have some clutch pack wear unfortunately though)

I would honestly look into a custom xhp tune I've seen cars with the custom tunes shift much faster plus you can lower the rev limiter a bit to help the motor and trans last longer!

Overall though definitely a good choice no downsides so far

I think that Sutphin tune is technically a custom xhp tune isn't it

I'm not sure I haven't heard much about that or research custom xhp tunes yet! I really want to get one though, I've had multiple people recommend them!

What’s the diff between the sutphin OTS map vs xHP v3 maps ?

And what are the DME tables that needs to be changed to run the Sutphin maps ?

You don't NEED to change anything in the dme file, it will just make it better. But if you have a custom or unlocked tune Rod can help you change what's needed to make the tunes work better with each other. Most tunes are locked so you can't do that yourself and will just have to let it ride.

He does have tunes optimized for the new v9 mhd maps so just let him know what you're running and he can get the right one for you.

If you want info on rods tune specifically you should email, message or call him. www.sutphintuning.com
