![]() But that's some really good information you just passed along - thank you! I'll realign my sights for 10/11 and hopefully it'll happen. If not, and the dealer calls me for a weekday pick-up, I'd probably take some time off of work and do that too. ![]() |

I have seen some reports from folks that mention the 11th as well, and also note that the Bimmerfile report has no official attribution. If the Traviata cars are offloaded on the 6th as scheduled, I don't expect my E90 will make it through processing and traverse the 1000+ miles up to the Seattle area much before the 13th anyhow, but if it should, I'll consider it a pleasant surprise.
I shall hope that the reports of delivery delayed until the 13th are unfounded, and that you Golden Staters are in your new rides soon after they hit land. ![]() --LR

There's a sticky that will answer all of you delivery questions... port to dealer depends on where your dealer is, but expect 5-14 days... Congrats on your new e92 and welcome to the forum!

This is kind of an interesting screen shot that I just captured. If you count each "0000" as the start of a new day, Traviata could reach the tip of Baja late tomorrow, maybe at her 1800 posting. Once she reaches the tip of Baja, she might start showing up on marinetraffic.com AIS, which is free for all. I know the propogation of the AIS radio signals in this area vary by a lot. I was reading about it on one of the port web sites, maybe for Charleston(??). I can't remember. Typically, the radio signals are supposed to reach about 50 miles from shore, but that changes due to the ionosphere (sun spots). So, somedays AIS signals in the Baja region are really good and somedays they are poor. We will have to wait and see what happens when Traviata and Hojin reach this region.

I shall have marinetraffic.com up tomorrow evening awaiting her arrival on the AIS of the region. Thanks!

She is getting closer. AIS propogation isn't great tonight, though. I have seen ships on marinetraffic.com down to the tip of Baja before, but it doesn't look good tonight, when I checked that web site.

Sailwx has seemingly lost our ship or stopped tracking it. The latest recorded location is still midnight, October 4th (GMT, which means that they're almost a day behind now). I don't know if this is normal or not, but since the ship is supposed to be docked in two days, I'm less concerned than I would have been if this had happened while the ship was in the middle of the Atlantic.
Let's hope the next two days go by quickly and without incident. ![]() |

Oh boy, it's close! I lost Traviata for a while (she disappeared off of sailwx a number of days ago, showed up briefly on marinetraffic, but disappeared from there too), but I checked vesseltracker tonight and she's about 5 miles from Port Hueneme! The position is delayed, so there's a good chance that she's either docked now or anchored right off of the coast for the night.
This means that our cars are going to be unloaded tomorrow and hopefully there will be enough cars for each of our destinations to fill up trucks. I'm still hopeful that I'm going to get a call from my CA to come pick up my car this weekend. But if not, then definitely some time next week. Woo hoo! ![]() |

Traviata Has Left Port Hueneme
According to my CA at 1430 HST (1730 PST) my car has been dropped off at the VPC in Port Hueneme. Traviata is underway and bound for Europe as of 1700 PST time (I am active duty Navy, so you'll just have to trust me on this one). Looks like we can relax about the trans-Atlantic voyage and start counting the days from VPC until delivery.
