nice. yeah the 997 is very analog, probably a more pure experience. I've only sat in one once and noticed the clutch was VERY heavy lol. Its probably a little too hardcore for me i'll admit. And the interior/tech is extremely dated now. I would feel like im downgrading a bit coming from the 458, but with the 991 I don't get that feeling at all.

Ok, sounds like a good decision. Yes, the 997 clutch is very heavy, lol. And the PCM is so outdated I just keep it shut off.

I didn't trade in my 997 GT3 for a 991 because I wanted the more analog car. But ended up buying a GT4 to have something softer/but-still-GT.

I hope you end up driving the car a lot! I have 66k miles on both cars combined and I would feel I didn't get my money's worth if I drove them less.

For mini people. I tried to like them, but just can't fit. And I owned a Miata. I'm not abnormally tall either, just 6'2"

Yeah, real Sports Cars are one of the things us little guys get (I'm 5'5" / 143 lbs).

I've read that Ferrari and Lamborghini have used larger folks when designing their interiors to ensure that sports stars can fit comfortably. Obviously there's a limit. Trying to cram a 6'8" coworker into my M Coupe was pretty amusing.

As a 991.2 owner I can promise you that you'll love it.

I've driven the 458 and it is great (I actually would love to add one, so let me know if your sale falls through ha...been eying a 458 or 430 Scud as a long-term second car) but I legitimately feel the GT3 is the more fun drivers car...458 wins for the attention and intangible nature of being a Ferrari.

in Missouri you have 6 months to use your tax credit regardless if you trade in or sell private. in state or out of state doesn't matter.

This is such a bullshit description. Yes, "sports-car" has evolved over the years, it's not "stuck" on what was a sporty 2-seater back in 1950. I consider it to generally be any car that prioritizes performance over utility and other factors. They are bought to enjoy the performance and thrill, vs. transporting people/things. It doesn't need to "only" carry 2 people, but that's obviously part of the utility factor, and to that effect, we can divide the segment down into more specialized sections/parts...

If you consider a Ferrari or Lamborghini Sports Car, congratulations, you're normal. You also consider a Dodge Demon a Sports Car. To me, this is too wide of a range to properly categorize cars, so I go by the older definitions.

The classic definition of a Sports Car is as follows:

- 2 seat
- open top
- manual gearbox
- light weight
- nimble (handling fun being the primary objective)
- radio

What you have with your Ferrari's and Lamborghini's is much more the classic definition of a GT or Grand Touring Car.

You define things the way you like, I'll define them the way I like. To me, calling both a Diablo and a Miata a Sports Car isn't specific enough.
So based upon your definition of a sports car it absolutely needs a radio to qualify?
