But maybe wait for a few years and we can all sell certificates as memorabilia on eBay. Might even get more than they were worth a few weeks ago.

Yes, it feels good not to have a mortgage anymore these days. I feel bad for people getting into a house 2-3 years ago. Must really hurt to be paying on a purchase price of something that's worth a lot less today. Ouch.

LEH...AIG...WM...WB on Monday? Then the Eurodominos...tick...tick...tick...and guess who holds the royal flush? Bingo, the Chinese! Yes sir, did my heart good to see them space walking with all those dollars Sam Walton's crew shipped to Beijing.

What if China decided to cash in all their US Treasuries. Like winning at a casino and them telling you, "uh, sorry we don't have enough to cover your winnings." What would we pay back them with? Corn syrup? They'd prolly say, "eh, just give us Connecticut. Oh, wait we already own it. Give us New Jersey and toss in Idaho."

I should have waited on my purchase of 135i beginning of the year. Paid cash for it, I could have taken advantage of this deal and get myself into a M car

You have a 135 that's paid for. Because of 0.9% you'd spend 30k more and borrow the difference, if you could do it again? That's no different imho than people borrowing and buying more expensive homes which ended up in a mess.

I went a checked on the supply of M3's this morning.

ALL 6 speed models had an .9 sticker in the window and $4,000 OFF.

DCT models were 1.9 and $3,000 OFF.

Loaded black on black sedan six speed was $69,450 now $65,450.

I wonder how low the will go. There is not that much mark up left after the 4K off is there?

Kudos to your wife!, my wife has been begging me to get a 2002 for her, but I just cannot keep 2 high maintenance cars in my garage right now.

I'll only get one if they can get me 0.9 on a bare-bones one, at invoice... which will probably never happen. I don't see any bare-bones one in SoCal anyway...

You made an erroneous assumption. There's difference between lending and bad lending and you assume I don't have the wherewithal for the M3. I could have paid off M3 as well but this sweetens the deal. So now everyone must purchase home with cash? If you don't have 600k then rent until you have one. Good luck and expect to live with ma and pa until 40s.

Besides it's quite obvious you are better off swallowing more than you can chew, the government will bail you out. When's the last time government come to your house because you have paid you mortgage on time every month and give you a refund check. LOL
