Yes. Then I had a problem and he refused to take care of it . I would think people would appreciate that info and not go throught the crap that I've had to. If you'd like, I'll shut up and people can find out on their own.

No, it's actually good for others to hear experiences of ppl like you; but, I just found it ironic that you were basically saying others were whining like babies when they had a bad experience w/the seller and should suck it up -- then experienced the same for yourself.
Anyway, anyone considering a kit now should just go w/XenonDepot. |

^^+1 on XenonDepot. Their website is actually www.kbcarstuff.com
Make sure to tell them what kind of car you're buying the kit for so they send you the resistor's with the HID's.

Review of the VVME.COM HID's:
I opened the box and they look very different from the prolumen hid kit i used on my e46 fogs but i gave it a shot. No resistors, no harness. It was the single beam 8000K H8 34watts kit. Jacked the car up, took the wheel off and took the liner out (took no longer than 10 mins). Put the bulb in, hooked up the ballast and plugs the pins into the power coming from the car. 1. The fogs flickered and shut off when park lights were on, the fogs flickered but became solid and held a light with the xenons on. I felt confident up to this point. 2. Tested the second ballast/bulb on the same side before closing up and moving over. This one didnt work at all, threw a code. I switched the ballasts and it worked but died quickly. After all was set and done i was pretty pissed and decided to close everything up. Ill try to get a refund but i doubt its gonna happen. |

Why is everyone on here spending so much on HID kits when quality ones can be found on ebay. I have had 2 kits off ebay for $80/each and they both worked flawlessly. The first kit was on my supra for a year until I sold the car. That kit is now on a friends car and still working great. The second kit was bought at the same time and has been working flawlessly on my dads LX470. Here is the link to the buyer I bought mine from:
http://stores.ebay.com/HID4U Both kits were direct plug and play and very easy to install. |

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=ebay+hid The kit listed in that thread is cheaper, but I have never used that kit on another car. The kit I posted states that its a 35W kit which is what your supposed to get to avoid error. Here is a link directly to an h8 kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-X...30#ht_4549wt_0 Hope that helps. |

I used the one I linked you to in my first and second post. However, I used the kit on my SUPRA and LX470 and not on my 335. I was posting that kit because most believe that the quality of ebay kits is terrible. Mine were great and have been reliable.

HID kits from Ebay are generally not going to work on E90/92s because of the car's computer being picky w/upgrades to lighting due to wattage/voltage. It's not as simple as on other cars -- you do need a error delete module/canbus fix at the very least, which most of the Ebay kits don't come with.
I don't see why it's a big deal to spend $200 on a kit that works and save yourself the hassle. Ppl are spending time and $ on stuff that doesn't work just to save $, when it's pretty clear by now that only a select few vendors have kits that have been proven to work. You might get lucky w/a cheap kit that works, but the risk is pretty high of wasting a lot of $ and time. There are at least 20 threads on HID fogs and the conclusion on most is the cheap kits aren't working out well. |

It's a big debate. i can assure you of one thing. Anything Apexcone is garbage. Just stay away from that. Please give us reviews on other setups. I would like to not waste my money again on another crappy setup.

I don't have a source, it's from what I've read here and experienced myself. I only know of one member who has gotten the VVME kit to work (not sure if he used resistors or not). But, basically, just putting any 35w HIDs in there will flicker and shut off after the first minute w/o the canbus fix. It may have to do w/the voltage or something -- I'm not exactly sure of why this happens, but fact is, it does happen based on most ppl's experience.
