You people are such haters/ fanboys. This post will most likely make me hated by a lot of people here considering the responses to this thread, but
That rendering looks stunning. With the new 350 engine that has 300HP, the car will most likely be a big hit here. The lines are very classy with a modern twist. Every new car that comes through these forums is constantly hated on. I happen to own a new c-class, which someone called ugly, and I like it better than the E90. My Z4 is great and all, but Mercedes has really stepped it up when it comes to a balance of luxury and sport. How can you people compare it to a chrysler and a honda. I can just go and say the rear lights on the new BMWs are ripoffs of lexus. Just appreciate the avant-garde design that from the front 3/4 looks better than most coupes on the market today. |

It almost looks like some people take it personally when anybody talks about anything besides a BMW in this forum. Additionally, I truly believe that the quality in recent Mercs (after the latest S Class) will be better than what I've experienced with BMW. They can't afford to keep screwing up like they did during the Chrysler years, and prior to that period they've always built great automobiles. The only thing they are missing is a cool looking coupe which is exaclty what this is. It will probably be more expensive that an average 335 but it won't be too far off. |

I love the w211 e classes, they're beautiful cars but this one just really isn't doing it for me nor is the new E class. They hit it big with the redesign of the CL as well as with the C. I just don't agree that the new E class and CLK will be lookers, they will perform but the older generation look nicer. Shit, I'd love to own a c63, don't really care about the extra ~200lbs difference between the e90 m3 when I have a 6.2 liter v8 in front of me. That car is one hell of a performer on and off the track. |

The C-class is a great looking car. Much better looking than the E90. But performance-wise, they have nothing that can compare to the 335i in its price range. The AMG cars... yeah... those things are just beasts, and Merc finally got it right with the C63. It does make the ///M3 sweat. And it sounds so delicious...
But this car looks nothing like the C-class, and maybe the renderings don't do it justice, but it sure as hell doesn't look good to me. |

Not ignorant. He's right. Mercedes-Benz is luxury oriented. That's just how it is. Sure, they can slap on a v10 in a 4 door sedan. Anyone can do that. The C63 is a hell of a car. I would buy one. But the C63 will not and can not beat the M3 in the performance department. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Mercedes Benz aims more towards luxury, while BMW aims more towards performance. You are ignorant for not accepting the fact. You may have a MB and you may just want to make yourself feel better. The only other brand I would consider that should be making BMW sweat, is Audi. God I love those cars. I don't care if they are not reliable. They're sexy. Mercedes bores me(Not the SL63 AMG) Love that car. My thoughts on the car that in looks like a Lexus GS/ES from the front and a confused Camry from the back. Just my opinion. |

For the people saying that it looks like a Lexus, wasn't Lexus the one that copied Mercedes to begin with?

I would never consider a Mercedes over a BMW, regardless of how beautiful it was. Mercedes never have and never will drive like a BMW.
