If you've got wax on your car now, you must remove it with dishwashing detergent, use dawn, they recommend it. Zaino isn't really more expensive than the other higher-end stuff.

Thanks
There is a San Jose rep that I deal with. I called Mr. Zaino and he gave me this local contact.

Anyone come to any conclusions? I just ordered my titanium silver e90 today and also bought the value pack from zaino (the first one since i dont have leather and i think all the more expensive one had more is leather cleaner) and was wondering if i should wait 3 months before waxing or if i could do it the first day? My uncle whos really into cars said wait a couple of months but he's in his 60's and still uses turtle wax so i was looking for a more informed opinion.
thanks!

I talked to my Zaino rep and he told me it's A-OK to apply Zaino right away. So when I get the car, I will apply it! Good luck!!

Should I use the Dawn on the brand new car, or is z7 okay? Is it wise? Is there wax on the brand new car?

Yes, there could be wax or polish on a new car applied by the dealer. I did the Dawn wash to mine 5 days after purchase followed by the Zaino treatment - worked just fine.

My 325 has arrived in the USA and I am taking delivery in about a week. Can someone tell me exactly what product I should buy from Zaino?

Titanium Silver, Premium, Cold weather, Black leather, Brushed Aluminum

Zaino really is worth the money and effort IMO. It takes a while to apply all of those coats but I only do it once or twice a year and the car looks fantastic. Everyone comments on how smooth the paint is.

I will use nothing but zaino on my car and future cars (hopefully e90 m3 )

For a new car you need ZFX, Z2, Z6, Z7, and Z8. The kits normally include a bit of extra applicators. The distributor I used dropped the bottle of Z5 (swirl mark remover) and threw in the new Z8.
BELEIVE them when they say use it sparingly. If you see a haze, (as in wax haze, any actual product) you put too much. It should go on just so it doesn't have quite the same shine it did before you started. Get the applicator wet with Z6, then keep it damp with dsitilled water, so that the Z2 really spreads around. Three lines of Z2 on your applicator pad should just about cover your hood.

i use all of the above but the car wash. I dont like it and as long as you use a good car wash and follow up with z6 or z8 you will be fine. Zanio is made two towns away from me and we can pick it up at a local speed shop.

I'm a first time Zaino user and will confirm its worth the $$$. 3 coats of the Z2 and Z6 layering, and the car looks even better than when I picked it up. Time (and money) well spent.

Cool, another one converted!! You'll never use stupid wax again!! An actually, if you compare zaino to other brands, the cost is similiar, product for product. I never understood why some people claim it's so much more money.

I've only used the car wash once, and it didn't seem to sud up as well as the Maguiar's Car Shampoo that I recently bought. Not sure it cleaned the brake dust as well off the wheels either. I'll give it a few more tries, or switch off with the Maguiar's.
Somewhere between the Z8 on the bike on Thursday night and the wash of the 3 on Saturday, I lost my bottle of Z8 . Other than the gloss factor, is there a major difference between Z6 and Z8?
