Which would mean, none of the new advanced hardware would be put to good use since the Rev 1 doesn't have it?
I thought it was stated that the same maps will be able to be loaded on both RevI and Rev II.

At some point down the road that will diverge as additional features are added to the Rev II which the Rev I cannot support. But that should be well down the road based on the projected road map of features.

And out of curiosity, what interest is it of yours?

Either he's Ralph Nader and just looking out for the consumer. Or he has a JB3. Quick search suggests the latter.

Mr. R.D. Sport is a blatant vishnu hater. His posts should be ignored by everyone.

Unfortunately many, what I assume are children, want to clutter discussions with personal bias. The ability to discuss matters in an adult manner has been displayed but often gets over shadowed by nonesense.

lol I think hotrod is a good example of a contributing e90post member... has a jb3... and can still contribute to v3 threads nicely

hes just always talking about that fucking g tech (just kidding) haha

however rdsport is always mad about something... he posts more negatively about the v3 than positively for the jb3 lol

youd think its life or death, its a tune that makes your car go faster, some people gotta get out sometimes

Before any newbie can post a question regarding any tune, you must first post your real name, address, phone number, and SSN along with a valid credit card number, expiration date, exact name as it appears on the front of the card, and that three digit number on the back. You must also post a link to a picture of yourself and your wife or boyfriend and tell us what your nickname is on the other board. A DNA sample is optional.

Other than that, welcome to e90post.

If by "solid" you mean surface mount, most of the them are on the bottom side of the PCB. However, there are at least four visible on the top side shown in the picture.

The large green radial lead cap on the PCB looks like a standard aluminum electrolytic but I could be wrong.
It will still last for thousands of hours and is sufficient for use as a bulk bypass cap.

If I'm not concerned about my warranty, I really want this for my Christmas present.
Damn it.
