Does the M3 use 6 pot Brembo calipers? I didn't realise, in that case I stand corrected BMW have a cost effective option so they probably will offer one. Or you will find someone offering it. Perhaps Ant can price you up the parts.

sorry mate, i thought the point you were making was that they stole it off the 135 to sell to 3 series owners.

Surely the same could be done for 335 owners stealing the brakes off an M3. What do you think?

Sorrymy sarcasm gets the better of me sometimes

I guess M3 brakes would be a decent upgrade as the discs are 12mm bigger than the 335's but the standard M3 caliper doesn't have the sex appeal of the yellow 6 pot calipers of the current BBK... Plus I doubt they could do the M3 kit for sthe same sort of bargain as the current offering...

Ant, will these brakes - or perhaps just the Calipers - fit other BMW models? Say E36 M3?

Yes Will, I would like to - just really depends on how things fall regarding my business/travel commitments at the time.

How frequently do you all meet up?

Do you tie in with any of the BMWCC events?

Yes, they very well could do...

We already know they can be made to retrofit the E46 3 series and E46 M3/CSL, so as long as the wheels will allow the clearance, there is so reason why not.

can someone explain to me, do the discs really only cost £55 each? is it possible to just fit the discs (i just did series of mods to car and funds are low!)?
plus i'm not sure about the gold calipers with my red leather....!

After taking my car to Stelvio and chasing 3 tuned Scoobs and an Elise (and they chasing me), I can state that standard 335 brakes are awesome and, as Ant says, unless you're on an intensive track day, then the difference will be marginal if any at all.

To support Carlos's statement, one long (15 KM) down hill section from Davos saw me behind two Scoobs and at the bottom the lead Scoob's STI brakes were on fire... You could put this down to the fact he was less smooth and on the brakes more than the gears (we did extract the p*ss....).

We did several such 'on it' sections over the 7 days and not once did I have noticeable fade or worrying moments with them. That does include the 50 odd switch backs...

So I'd suggest the performance gains will be when massively on it for lengthy periods on a track..

As for looks... no contest I'm afraid, they do look fantastic in yellow..
