Yup as long as each of us gets what they like ...it's all good. I just prefer the classic look. The new one looks too "kiddy" like for me.
I prefer the more eloquent classic one. I like the fact that the original is so identifiable at a glance. You know it's a BMW from a far even if you don't know the cars that well.

Hmm. The roundel on your M8 isn’t the classic one. It is the more recent one.

Agreed. And you can always swap back at any moment.

I had to have one too, always liked the classic motorsport logo and now that there is an OEM offering...

Took a little investigation as I have an older Exx model M3 and BMW officially doesn't make them for older models. But when you use the same mounting system for the last 30 years...

Don't mind the spamming...

Installed 50th roundels today. They were "available to spec" when I ordered... but not available on the assembly line until 1 week after mine was assembled. hahaha...

Of course I know that. I just didn't think I needed to mention that of course it's changed. Are you telling me you didn't get what I meant?
I just didn't think I needed to be that obvious.
Ok to make ya even happier it is quite similar still to the one from 1917...k? I know the 70 & 80's right....yup that's right.
Do you get this? hahaha

I still don't like it. Looks like a kid colored it in...poorly.
But to those who want it on their car I'm glad they enjoy it.

No one is telling you to buy the 50th Anniversary roundel. If you enjoy the standard roundel that is fine.

Just like different people prefer different M cars. Does it make other M cars bad. No. It is just not their preference.

Looks fantastic on the X3 M40i.

Would you post the 50th Anniversary Classic M Roundel PNs for the X3 M40i?

We are hoping that IND will offer painted 50th Anniversary Roundels to replace the white with black or dark blue. That looks great on every BMW exterior paint color.

If you remember what did the rear mounting look like for each hood/trunk roundel?
2 pins/no adhesive
2 pins/adhesive
No pins/adhesive only

Cheers

Umm, then that wouldn't really be the 50th Anniversary homage that BMW is offering. Do y'all really not understand the history of this design?

Many are listed as "sold out' and there are none for the 68mm hubcap.

Seems to me that BMW forgot (or more likely to cheap) to include the 50th version on the steering wheel. Just seems wrong.

I ordered mine from Paddleshifterz in Germany. They have an extensive inventory of 50 Jahre Emblems. They came in a few days, to California.

I've been buying most of my OEM parts from Germany, as it's much cheaper than sourcing them in the US. I paid $133 for the center caps, and $60 each for the hood and trunk roundels, $20 shipped.

Due to the demand our inventory is always changing. We get air shipments weekly from Germany so please keep checking.

BMW has no plans to make 50th anniversary 68mm center caps from what we can see.

Confirmed X3 and X3M Roundels PNs.

Sizes
Hood: 82 mm (2 pins/no adhesive)
Trunk: 82 mm (2 pins/adhesive)

X3 G01
https://paddleshifterz.com/product/o...v=7516fd43adaa

X3M F97
https://paddleshifterz.com/product/o...v=7516fd43adaa

Don't expect the photos to be 100% correct.

F97 X3M
https://ind-distribution.com/product...5dcd9fb5&_ss=r

These photos look correct.

I just realized BMW didn't use the G-Platform (X3 G01) for the latest X3M F97. The X3 LCI will be designated G45. The X3 Roundels are all the same. On BMW ///M cars the Hood/Trunk sizes are 82/74 mm. For BMW X SAVs some Hood/Trunk sizes are 82/82 mm.

Cheers
