BMW's become so expensive to own off warranty. Believe me, I've had 6.

2007 328i coupe 44k

Dealer noticed the leak and changed the gasket under warantee for free.

Do we expect the fix to last? Or I need to keep an eye on my transmission myslef?

I'm just disappointed the gasket didn't last very long, I only have 67K miles on the car. The whole job took almost the whole day as I was watching my mechanic.

Has anyone had this issue? Aren't the pan gaskets design to last longer, like maybe over 100K?

my car is in the dealer as we speak for oil pan gasket as well..

i was putting 1 qt of oil every 800 or so miles.
