My wife totalled our E36, and thankfully climed out completely unharmed. Car was totalled. Went out and bought a new E46 coupe (they had just become available).

My 05 M3 ZCP back on 11/30/07. Other driver hydroplaned, and ran thru a red light. Other party was at fault, and didn't have insurance . My insurance totalled the car, and took care of me. Came away with just a sprained wrist and minor bruises.
PS - BMW Assist kicked ass Here's the other driver's car. Thankfully, he didn't have a passenger. |

You can tell that red car has done a lot of burnouts, look at his rear tire, no tread. No wonder he hydroplaned...
No bimmer (hate when the papers call it a "beamer") crashes as of yet, hope it stays that way. Though I did have some close calls...

Since someone already posted a MINI in the thread, figured I would add this one.

Well, from personal experience, I must say that the e90 is one of the safest cars on the road. The chasy is like driving a tank. Id be worried about who or what I hit instead lol...
BMW, doesnt demand $50,000 property damage for others for no reason. (Supposing you have a lease) |

i think those are racing slicks and not bald tires. if i was the bmw driver, i would have beaten that driver to a fucking pulp for having those on in the rain.

LOL. Thanks guys. Yes, I was upset, but at least the other driver owned up to his mistake and accepted 100% at fault when the police questioned us. he did get multiple tickets from the police. Not to mention that he owes my insurance company for what they wrote my car off for ($54K). Poor guy is def paying for his bad decision.
This was not in front of CSUF. It was on Chapman and the 5 fwy, right in front of Irvine Medical Center...close to the Block. Wow, some of these pix being posted are pretty crazy. I'm glad to hear that nobody was seriously injured. |

don't have pics but my friend's 330i had a wheel get caught up on uneven pavement in the hills and he lost control of his car... car rolled down the hill. probably 30 ft drop.. he got out with only cuts and bruises.

Do you know the difference between a racing slick and a treaded tire?
