You laugh at all new car pricing. We all get it...prices have gone up. That being said, the current CX-9 with a turbo 4 banger and fwd platform is over $50k loaded. So $60k for a loaded rwd platform inline 6 doesn't seem too unreasonable especially if you want a Mazda over the competition.

Keepin my 9-3 wagon forever at those prices. Fucker keeps going, even the odd big ticket repair is a single lease payments on these boats.

Hopefully the old school fabric can be had in something other than off-white. Overall, I think they'll sell faster than Mazda can make them. First units arrive in March. The big question is do they have that tight Mazda demeanor. I would think yes.
I'd road trip that for days.

...fabric color rolls with leather choice. Yay
https://www.mazdausa.com/shopping-to...d-price#/24C90 Bravo Mazda. A configurator that WORKS. Some nice options for a modestly priced unit. The pet ramp is a nice offer. I 'think' I read 5k towing ability. That'll work.

A loaded Mazda SUV now costs $60k. Prices are nuts, but it is what it is. Can't imagine spending $1000/month on a Mazda SUV...but that's just me.

Totally missed this thread and the new CX-90, but went to my local Mazda dealer web page (looking for a 5th car) and did a double take when I saw the price range slider go up to $62,199.
Had a CX-9 and CX-5 Turbo, still own Mazda 6 (now daughter's) and 2021 Mazda3 Turbo (now son's). Two of them were Mazda 0% financing. Those days are gone! |

Seriously considering this for my wife's next car, but almost $60k for decent equipped S model is a tough sell. Might wait for the CX-70 which is supposed to have the same power train. Or make her get the lowly 280hp version.

i don't see how driving dynamics is going to be amazing so all i care is how comfortable are the rear passenger seats. every one of them not just 2 out of the 5 rear seats.
most car makers put 7 or 8 seats there but only care about building proper seating for 4. WHY! (in those above videos you can see tonnes of understeer - see 3rd video 9:36 - car won't turn a tiny corner at 40mph) Last edited by G30M; 04-05-2023 at 04:26 PM.. |

$60k for a fully loaded CX90 isn’t that expensive.
The issue is outrageous lease pricing. You’re absolutely right, $1k/month is a garbage lease. Should be $600-$700 a month. |

They won’t blink for a 900k house or 75k truck, but OMG, a nice full size SUV for 60k and they lose their freaking marbles.
