I needed the f87 to be bigger. I needed the m4, not to hurt my back. This car is perfect for me. I will miss DIALS. Whatever though.
I'm gonna miss the dials and the disc drive.

Break-in is still 1,200 miles. But I enquired about getting the service done before that and was told 800+ miles was fine. This is at an M Dealership. Reason being is that I’m headed on a road trip at the end of the month and didn’t want to run well past the 1,200 miles before I got the first service done.

Your car looks almost as anti-social as I am.

Called this morning and they told me if I make it to 1000, I'm good to get it. Monday at the latest, I will hit that.

I definitely understand their reasoning. Sooner, better than later.

Hit 310mi today. Trip to the Aquarium. Picked up my first carbon roof rock hit (small lacquer ding). Also family and stroller approved, but it's tight. Infant seats protrude a lot.

My M2 mileage is at 350 miles. As has been my SOP with turbo charged/super charged engines I'm going to ask the local BMW dealer change the oil/filter at 500 miles. I will not expect this to be the break in oil change service but rather just an early oil/filter service which I will pay for. (The dealer is well aware of my penchant for early oil/filter services have serviced my 230i and my 2023 MINI S and my 2023 MINI JCW.)

At between 1000 and 1200 miles I'll have the break in service done.
