Looks wise, it’s a great looking car in person; at first I wasn’t sure until I saw it in person and it’s a great looking car. |

Although I have not driven an X5M I would rate it similar to the X6M with a boxier body. That being said the X6M or the X5M current gen models are very capable gt SUV’s. I almost purchased the 2023 x6M prior to the XM however after spending time behind the wheel of the XM for some time now I would say it is unlike any other M and makes the X7 feel like bus. It is mind boggling how agile and quick the XM is behind its tank like body. Another appeal to me is the luxury and sportiness of the interior that’s unique to the XM which I enjoy a lot. One has to appreciate its looks in person while driving it to understand its capabilities. While at the dealer not long ago I met another XM buyer whom had just turned in his X6M to acquire his XM… been on a few chats and dude has no regrets although the X6M / X5M have no flaws or downsides but when compared to the XM I feel it’s a step up in all aspects. I would also say the longer I own it the more I feel it makes my M6 feel inferior … I’m waiting for my M6 replacement … passed on the M8. |

To those of you that have the X5M’s and X6M’s, those are fantastic vehicles too (I used to own a regular X6), but the XM is noticeably bigger - especially in the in the second row. If you’re 6’ plus like I am, you can sit in the second row with the front seat all the way back and still have room without touching the seat in front of you. |

I recently (last week) cross shopped the 24 x6m and xm label and really liked both. I ended up going back to an x6m (even tho it was a tiny bit more expensive out the door) cuz I just wasn’t ready for the plug in hybrid life.
I’m down to plug the car in to charge or gas it up but don’t want to deal with having to do both.

Shame they didn’t produce it, would’ve been interesting to see the next gen i8.
Not sure what it has to do with the XM though. One is a mid engined 2 seat sports car, the other is a school bus.

They needed to improve the shut lines placement, but I’d had been a good design overall…

OTOH, this thing actually looks pretty good, not anything like most new BMW designs. Clean up the rear and it looks really cool. |

It’s perfectly OK if you don’t like the vehicle I own, but there’s just no need to insult people’s rides. I may not like yours either, but I wouldn’t insult you for it. It doesn’t take much effort to show a little restraint and class.

However this is a forum that shares opinions sooooo maybe not the place to be offended by a person’s reaction to something you enjoy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Enjoy your ride |
