Global WARMING. It is the only possible answer. Temps are unnaturally low and you get snow in May? Global warming! Record high temperatures in May? Global warming! Massive amounts of rain in CA? Global warming! Drought in CA? Global warming!

Didn't you know that Global Warming is THE answer for all things weather related?

I'm getting so fed up with this crap weather though. I sure hope I don't have to necro-post in my thread from last year about snow in late April. If you remember, that thread was started on 3/28/08 about frakkin snow in late March.....

Yay for Earth day to save the planet from us evil humans!! It's hilarious when I ask people how come the mean temperature for Pluto, Mars and Triton (Neptune moon) have all risen over the same period as Earth's? Oh yea - its cuz the freeways on Pluto are seriously overcrowded.

Screw it, Ima get a Green Job since that's the only hiring these days.

Pacific Raceways site says "Closed - Weather" on the homepage.

Weather sites are saying everything is supposed to dry up early; maybe they can open for a partial day?

EDIT: Now it's "Open For Racing"!

Well traction is going to be a bitch I think in the early morning till it warms up a bit. There's frost on the ground right now. Should hit 50 by the late afternoon, woot

For sure. Roads are still super wet.

I think I'm going to wait until 9-10 before I leave so it can dry up a bit more.

Was hella fun. I think we all had a blast. Didn't get started until 1pm due to track prep.

My fastest was 12.53, Tony at 13.1, I think Eric's fastest was 13.3 (he can confirm) and Adam I believe had a low 14 for stock. I'll make a post with slips, vids and photos in the Turbo section soon.

Same here, I need to get those launches down on the strip, I think the extra traction is creating wheel hop issues -_-

I had a BLAST though. It was really fun getting to race up and down the track to dry it out

My best time was 14.2 @ 104? I'll have to check the slip

Wow, traction must have been a big problem. My best stock run was 13.6 @ 105 last year. I would expect Procede cars to crush that figure....

Its all about the launch. Its pretty tricky deal with 6speed and street tires with our cars because they make so much of the power down low. I ran 12.80s @ 116mph multiple times, but could never get my 60ft better than 2.1. That was on my CHs with PS2s. Without drag radials or smaller wheels and tires with more sidewall, I dont see you getting much quicker.

Agree that from yesterday.. it all starts and ends with the launch. But there have been plenty of RWD/Manual folks that have gotten deep into the 12s without DRs. There have even been some 1.9s 60ft times with RFTs.

But practice makes perfect, so more runs would do us all well and a track that wasn't frosted over the night before may be of more help as well

With a 2.0 60' and better shifting, I think I could have seen a 13.0 @ 110 or so. I definitely want to get some more practice in launching before I step up to drag radials for the rears, which is on my mod list!
