Even if you go back and un-fuck that tune, you'll now probably never get your tune into the hands of the hard-core members here, the one's whose positive reviews would have meant big time sales.
What are you talking about? Did you even read the whole thread, along with the OP's comments after talking to ESS and their explanation for why it made less power? it certainly doesn't seem like it, given how you've arrived at your so-called conclusion...

I dunno, maybe it's posts like these:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...&highlight=ess

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=31

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...&highlight=ess

And did you miss this part of the thread? "ESS refused my refund! The claimed that 22hp gain on a stage 2 flash with 100 octane is normal. That is not what they advertised. "

Again, I'm in the market and had ESS as a primary choice. It's not just this thread that has me thinking twice. And while I have seen one decent dyno for ESS, the majority have been less then stellar followed by some excuse by the ESS crew.

Yes, I see there have been others with issues... but let's stick to this case to keep it simpler, as not all the facts are the same in both cases.

If they are bluffing, why not call them on it? They offered the OP to dyno it again properly, as they pointed out the flaws with the last time he did it:

You are welcome to redyno at Evolution Motorsport that has a proper fan at our dime anytime.

If somebody wants more power from their stage 1 or stage 2, rev1 flashes, you can simply send in the ECU for a update to the Stage 2, rev 2 or the very powerful Stage 3 (we upped the power in Stage 2 a bit ~4 weeks ago = Stage 2, rev2) . We can custom adjust whatever people like, if somebody wants stock WOT AF ratio and 16PSI to redline with full ign timing and no heat retardation features that is no problem and will make crazy power, but I absolutely do not recommend it for engine and turbo longevity.

Hey guys. I just got back from Evolution Motorsports this morning, with results of my car with their Mustang dyno. I'll have to wait till i get home before I can post the graphs, but the results were (WHEEL) max torque 364 ft-lbs and max power 334 hp. Even only taking 10% drive train loss (avg is 15%) that's 404 ft-lbs torque and 371 hp @ crank. @ 15% it's 428 ft-lbs & 393 hp crank.
Can we stop the ESS hate fest already? I don't know why everyone was quick to jump on them, even when I was saying I wasn't unhappy. I was looking for someone else who had a Maha run to compare with, then I got caught up with the numbers. I repeat, the car runs great. Todd and everyone at ESS have been great to me. They paid for my run at EVO MS, they offered me a free upgrade to stage 3. I don't know what else they have to do. I am going to say that I am happy with them, and would have been so even if I was making only 20hp more. The dyno at EVO has a huge fan, but my oil temperature was hovering just around 250, and the ambient temperature was about 95 deg. But as you see when I post the graph, the car isn't pulling timing like last time. It's a smooth increase without any major dips.

I didn't have a baseline, but I compared it to Todd's baseline, and it's +49 hp and +45 ft-lb. Very respectable. I still have to find out if I have stage 1 or 2, because there is some confusion about that.

Next step intercooler.....which I hope to get this week(RPI). Oil cooler......I'm talking to the dealership about it. They are claiming that since I don't have a sports package I don't qualify. Anyone know if a regular 6MT gets the free retrofit?

And after that stage 3. I'll probably dyno it on the Maha again just to see if that gets solves at least some of the heat issues, or maybe they'll have a bigger fan by then.

Those are really good numbers for no oil cooler, stock intercooler, and a hot day in AZ ....

Hey - I'm glad you finally got some good numbers. Is this the same flash as in post #1? If so, the difference in hp numbers is huge - from 327 hp@crank in post #1 to 334 hp@wheel. It just shows how different dyno setups and testing methods skew the results. To get any reliable numbers, testing conditions must be repeatable.

Second that. I also want a flash I can install and remove myself - something as the Evolve - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253564 , or the (so far over hyped) SharkInjector.

LOL! Did you miss his post having just dyno'd it this morning and gotten much better results? See 3 posts above. What's the problem now then?

Yup, this is the exact same flash as the Maha run, nothing different in the car at all.
I've got the graphs, check them out.

The first is against Todd's stored baseline, isn't the best baseline but it's a good indicator.
The second is my third run on the mustang.
