I have a set of the KDW2's.

They have really good hydroplaning resistance. They have great dry and wet handling, and they're very durable. Sidewalls are *very* stiff for a street tire, so they have good transitional response. I used them as track tires until I got some r-comps.

There are some downsides which really don't bother me, but probably would most people, most notably they are pretty loud. They're also really heavy, but that's the trade off for the sidewalls. Maybe a little rougher ride too.

I had the kd-w's on my GTI. Had a "ricer" look to the tread, and after 10,000 miles the were NOISY as hell. They held up pretty good, but I ended up replacing them early because the noise was deafening after 18,000 miles. I have 15k on my F1's, no issues, no noise, just ridiculous grip wet and dry pavement. From someone who's had both tires, save a little now and you could regret it later. My .02.

No problem. Just wanted to give an opinion, since I had used both tires.
