I got few PMs asking about this LET tunes. Let me straighten things up. I myself not getting this tunes done becasue my lease is up in 11 months and I am going back to stock in late Oct early Nov. I agreed to help out David to do the flashes for him, so that he doesn't need to drive 28 hours to Toronto. Any question about the LET tunes, you need to go straight to him and deal with him. I also will not responseable to any issues if it caused by the LET tunes which i doubt it will. If David got enough members to do this LET tunes, he will send me all the equipments to do the flashes. After the flashes done, all the equiments will be send back and I am done helping.

That you need to arrange with David. Maybe all the GTA members who is getting this tune, all chip in to buy a OBD read/writer unit, this way I think you can flash and reflash it without sending either your ECU to Daivd or have him send the equiptments over again.....

All, Soni has agreed to help, by doing the flashes ... Anything related to the tune will be my responsibility, so please direct all questions to me As for reflashes during service, that will be difficult as the equipment will reside in NB ... It is an included feature (free flash to stock for service) but will be incredibly difficult for anyone not local to me. I just will not be sending $4000.00 worth of equipment around for this purpose, it just wouldnt work. So, best I can say is the tune thus far, has been invisible to the dealers ... HOWEVER, you ALWAYS run warrany risk with any mod (A simple air intake can void your warranty) This is nothing new with BMW. If it is that much of concern (and I can understand it may be for some) I suggest a DINAN tune .. it is the only way to keep warranty without question. Cheers, David |

Meaning this product wont screw up my car right?
I am a noobee with stuff like this i'd like to be confirmed that this software is backed up by at least a technical service and confirmation that things wont go haywire! Which is why i was hoping someone in Toronto estabulished can tune it so if problem i can bring it to that person to check it out! |

Kinda like asking "If I put a body kit on my car, and the aerodynamics screw up my cornering, I slide into the ditch and ruin it, will you cover it?" Not being sarcastic, but for anyone that is nervous, I suggest a DINAN tune ... Comes with warranty. |

Is this an independent dyno or manufacturer's dyno? You know the kind of dyno where a simple cone intake is supposed to yield +gazillions of horsepower...
I had Dinan software (both engine and tranny) on my E46 and I'm not sure it yielded a whole bunch of horsepower. Most dramatic change was a change in the throttle response of the accelerator pedal (just made it more sensitive, which made you feel like you had more power...). At the end of the day, if this tune is going to yield 12rwhp on a 328xi, that's great... |

Im going to ask again; does LET have the Canadian version of the 335 flash completed?
Its not the same software as the US cars and the complexities make it extremely difficult to make the modifications on the fly. After the 335's get flashed and the equipment leaves, what would people do if they notice problems (like the external torque limits in the euro MSD81 software)? |

LET are well aware of the differences, but until Tune #1 happens, I dont have an answer. I will not lie about things ... like others... It will get none of us, anywhere. OH, and Tune #1 will be me, likely this week if all the equipment arrives on time (and a few smaller items are worked out) IF there are ANY issues after a flash, I will make sure you get flashed back to stock. |
