Hey its actually not difficult, i just wrote up the instructions very detailed. The Harness install should take no more then 5 minutes, less most likely.

For drilling a hole in the cover, its not a very expensive part, and you can always buy a new one from BMW if you need to remove the LUX H8 kit sometime in the future.

I definately see your point, but its a cover that you can pick up from the dealership for very little $

YES!!!!

LOL.

I tested these out at a show i was at today on a 1 series, and they do fir perfectly inside. They are quite simple to install because there is actually more room in the 1 series then the e92.

No, that wont be an option unfortunately. the way the wiring harness works is its either 100% on or 100% off, there is not middle ground

Intersting...after looking at the PDF instructions (https://www.namotorsports.net/docs/MDSLUXH8.pdf) this kit looks nearly identical to the Camaross elite kit (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=240) with a slight difference to the connectors and resistors and of course the bulbs. The elite kit also loses the fade in/out functionality. I knew i shoulda waited for these...might have to sell the elite kit and sign up for this one.

btw, since the wiring looks similar to the Camaross' elite kit, I wonder if these also have the same odd behavior with the Roadside Parking Lamps feature i came across. When i had stock everything, on an E92 (not sure bout E90) if the ignition is off and you activate the Roadside parking lamps by pressing the turn signal lever up or down for a longer period the lamps (both tail and angel eyes) on the respective side in which the lever was pressed will turn on.

However, with the Camaross kit, when i press the lever to activate the driver side, only the tail lights will turn on. But when I press the lever to activate the passenger side, the passenger tail and BOTH the driver and passenger side angels turn on.

Just curious since both this one and the Camaross kit looks like its wired similarly.

i'm so happy that they don't flicker on/off like the shitty RD's... that used to really get me annoyed.. i thought it looked so cheap..

Being somewhat ham-handed and with some arthritis in my back and fingers, what would a reasonable price be to install them?
Would a dealer be better, (more expensive - but familiar) or and Indie that works on Bimmers?

LUX 4.0 and LUX 5.0 are for the sedans, these are for the coupes. Just a little different setup between the two cars.
