We pulled the fuse to disable it, and we routed the seat belt through the seat. Kinda like what we did on our 1 series as well:

They don't - but I've removed the fuse on my seatbelt butlers anyway, not a fan of them.

Here's a couple of pictures from Recaro fitment over the weekend:

The e46 floormounts fit just fine, the seatbelt that is originally mounted to the Z4M seat will need to be mounted to the floormount with the accompanying mounting race tab.

Needless to say, the PPs look like they should have been offered as a factory option - they look and feel awesome in the Z4M cockpit.

Hi,

how much lower sit the Recaro Sportster? (quote: "Recaro's sit slightly lower than stock seats to allow for helmet clearance, and a lower center of gravity")

The height depends on a couple of things including the mounts being used, and if you are using sliders or not. With Macht Schnell mounts, you will sit almost 2" lower than stock

can you pin me price sportster CS in black leather / black leather with black alcantara.
2 seats incl all needed to install. (floormounts etc) Want to end up as low as possible.
shipped to 8820 Switzerland (or pick up at Zurich airport)
by the way... the BMW performance seats are the same as the recaro sportster CS?

I had recaro pole position in my Z4M and absolutely adored them! even good to drive 350 miles in one go.

never had a recardo seat so please bear with my questions:

your seat sits lower - my oem sports seats letīs me go up or down in height - can the recardos do this? note i will not race this car so no need for helmet clearance.

also my stock seats let me adjust the seat (rear end) angle (not seatback) for a perfect fit. do the recardos have an adjustment so i can change the angle my butt is sitting at?

i aslo assume that i can (manually) change the angle of the seat correct ?

thnaks

Yes it is a fact that the Recaro seats depending on the exact application (aka which seat you choose), the seats will be in a lower seating position than stock. As you can see from the picture below, there is room for adjustment for the angle of the seat so you can in fact change the angle:

If you do choose a seat (for example the Sportster CS seat), that has the ability to change the angle of the seat rest, but a fixed back seat like the Recaro Pole Position, will not have the ability to change the seat back.

I hope that helps!

Going from stock seats to Pole Positions not only dramatically upgrades the interior appearance but also saves you about 30lbs per seat!

I got some mixed messages about the gained headroom space when installing Recaro Sportster CS. Do you know the height from the seat to the roof in an E92? (measured next to the seat rest)

thanks a lot
