Because it would have to be dinner rather then drinks would that change the circumstances? I was just always under the impression the guy has to pay. When she had mentioned her wanting to take me out and pay for me i responded saying that her paying wouldn't be necessary. After my roommate got done with his dance with her, he told me that she mentioned the brief convo i had with her about "paying for meals".. so she brought that up to him... not sure what this could mean but i thought it was somewhat relevant for this post.
