100 octane versus 91 plus methanol is not a big difference. I just think we are seeing the reality of a dynojet that was clearly calibrated to read very, very high. The bottom line is that if the pump map was putting down 400 rwhp, then the trap should still be faster and that takes methanol or race gas out of the equation. These numbers seem more like what would be expected from a 370 rwhp car.

I hope you don't get me wrong. I am not putting down any tune whatsoever, just getting a handle on what reality looks like.

How much did you put down with and without meth on a dynojet and mustang dyno?
What are your average traps and times with and without meth?

There was a C63 there trapping 117.

His mods: (taken from his signature at mbworld)

2009 EVO3 C63 | evosport development car
Full evo3 package including: Stage 2 intake, SS headers & exhaust, pulley, ecu tune, 2 pc. ~600bhp,

That's $11,000 in mods, and might be considered to be the worlds most powerful C63 right now, yet it could only trap 117mph. Yes, I know it weighs 300lbs more than a 335i, but that C63 probably puts down around 480RWHP.

This is true, there were three C63's there, two heavily modded, cars with those mods have trapped 120+ at other tracks.

It was absolutely awesome to see the N54s trapping as high as these big HP AMGs. Especially hearing those Nascar sounding engines of theirs next to my quiet, fully catted, stock exhaust BMW. I trapped close to 119mph (118.84) and had quite a few runs over 118mph. I don't think the C63s quite hit that speed. So yes, at a different track, different day, I would probably be over 120mph trap speeds too.

I agree. The mods for our cars are so inexpensive compared to the Mercs!

I do. I never add that I have no CDV because to me, it's a given.
There is no way IMO, that any person that knows how to drive a manual cannot get frustrated with that stupid CDV.
It's the first thing that needs to be done and I believe I did it with 20 miles on the car.

cdv = clutch delay valve... when you modify it you reduce/eliminate the delay it caused which thus makes it not suck horribly.

haha. I usually turn the radio off before I go out but that time I thought I would get some outside influences.

Now that I think about it more, the trap does seem really low for a fully bolted car on race gas.
