I have installed Ar catless dps and the fitment was better than stock one!
The distance between the dps is more than 2cm accross the length of the pipes. Only for 5cm length the distance is about 1+cm, but still is much better than with stocks one. |

the usual install is between 2-3 hours, sometimes less sometimes a little more, depends on the condition of the exhaust to dp bolts, sometimes they are so rusted they need to be cut off.

No cut off. Just use some antirust spray and leave it 5 minutes. If they still don't unscrew you must heat them with oxygen and then it is peace of cake!

after about 30-40k miles there isnt even threads left in some cases, its basically welded together. if your lucky they snap. not to mention the acutal nut edges that the socket contacs rusts away and you cant get anything on there to loosen them if you did heat them up.

This is true... exhaust bolts like to fuse up and if they don't snap, cutting them off is the way to go. That "anti-rust" spray will only help if u just need that little extra help. Once they are too far rusted, it won't do anything. |

They are basically the exact same, comparing AR to MS DP's... so doing a dyno blowout would be fun but pointless. Buy the pipes that offer the lowest price unless you can show me a difference between the 2 to justify one over the other. Also go with the one that offers better service. If 1 vendor is a DB (not defensive back!) then I personally would avoid that company. For me personally there wouldn't even be a choice between those 2 because 1 vendor won't get my business, ever.
Get coated too, it isn't much more and most definitely worth it while the pipes are still new and off the car. All we ever talk about is heat (upgraded FMIC's, catless DP's to reduce turbo stress/heat, wrapping pipes, CAI's, and of course the new flavor of meth...) so coated DP's will help keep some of that heat out of our engine bay as well. Supposed to help with exiting the hot air faster too or something. If coated isn't offered by the vender there is always Jet-Hot |

I have the MS's and they are amazing quality, perfect fitment and a good power increase I would definatly recommend them. Then again you can't go wrong with AR either both are awesome you will be happy either way. I would personally go with which one you could get the fastest.

it depends on your mechanical skills, normal time for the average do it yourselfer is between 3-4 hours, but then you hear about guys that worked on it for a day or two only to have it towed to have the install completed. either way if your interested i am in central jersey and do installs especially dp's so if you decide you dont want to tackle it yourself send me a pm.
