Good to hear your reviews. This is exactly why i was rushing to get to the dyno with JB3, so as soon as GIAC stage2 is out i can jump on it.. i tried to get to be Beta tester also but it didn't work out.. I am confused on how "great" it "feels" htough? because i have 0 issues with any map on JB3 1.4. I love it, so for there to be something better, my mind cant comprehend it..

It's not about issues with JB, I've never had any myself! It's the difference in how's that power delivered. Kinda hard to describe, you'll need to try it yourself to understand. Just look at Kelvin, he was on the 1.4 beta group, had V3 RevII and Dinan before. The guy was sold on GIAC in the first day of driving with it. IMO it says a lot.

I think that there is still great value and power in the JB3 1.4 which is a powerful tune and extremely reliable.

The Procede V4 has a new boost logic that looks promising but I just think there is only so much you can do by tricking the computer instead of actually re-writing the map table parameters... This thing is just so comfortable even during high RPMs with a lot of timing advance and what's more impressive is that it is the same every single time!!!

Can't wait for that Stage 2.

Has anyone used Dubworks in Libertyville IL for a GIAC stage 1 flash?
I'm looking for a north suburban dealer in IL.
Was trying to work with my local dealer in price for the BMW PK, but they won't match Tischer's price.
What is the cost for stage 1 ?

Stage 2 is a monster and on the same level as stage 3 procede and map 6/7 jb3. As reported you will have constant power over and over again and the logs will look the same. I have never had an issue with jb3 but the power delivery of giac suits my needs best. Never had a limp or code, amazing throttle response and very quick spool up without oscillations.

I used Dubwerks for my Stage 1 flash, I believe I was the first one in Chicago to get the GIAC flash. Just ask for Rich, I have worked with him for years way back when during my VW and Audi days. Stage 1 flash is about $800.

I live in the city and they are the closest dealer by far, the next one is in Peoria and that is at least a 2 hour drive, I can make it to DW in 45 minutes or less, depending on the Edens - ha ha

You still not answering the question, Is the GIAC stage 1 more powerful than a PROCede V3 CANbus stage 2? And will it necessiate secondary cat delete? Some people have HFC and secondary cats because they need to pass smog inspection. Cant GIAC have something specifically targeted at this crowd?

Doesn't look like even the 335xi can handle that!

Stage 1 GIAC is about the same or more power as Procede Stage 2 but it is a much better tune. Nuff said!

Thanks much for the info. I also found Perfect Power, up in Buffalo Grove.
I'll contact Dubworks based on your referral. I want this to be completely invisible, so I have more research to do. Looking at the handheld unit to determine if I need it so I can flash back to the stock tune. The BMW PK was attractive, but not 2700, plus 900 more for MD80 to MD81 swap and 600 in labor, all for 20 more HP.

Perfect Power is listed on GIAC's site but I spoke to Sol, the owner, a while back, and he does not have the hardware to do the BMW flash. Last we spoke he wasn't going to invest unless he got a lot more interest which is why I went to Dubwerks

Yes, the rev limited is bumped slightly by 50-100rpm and speed limiter removed.
