Zaino- love it!

1st time user on the product. I asked the board for their advice as I just picked up my 335i

I am not a detail guy and have/had a basic knowledge of car care products. Although the Zaino process seems long, I did the wash, clay bar, re-wash, apply a layer of sealant, buff off, then gloss enhancer.

Couldn't be happier with the results. Car looks slick, and still is after a good few weeks of driving.

Lot of work in the prep and in the beginning, but the removal of the product is a flash.

Very impressed. Thanks for everyone's input. My car came out GREAT!

Yes, you still need to clay your car. During the shipping process your paint can pick up contaminents such as rail/brake dust, sap, etc. Better to take the extra time and do it right.

2 coats is fine for the winter. Just make sure you finish with Z2.

wow- i am impressed with the discussion on this topic. Should I expect that a reputable detail shop would be able to Zaino my vehicle with great results? In the past I have just taken it in and asked for a detail - always looks great. What would it cost for a Zaino application detail versus a normal detail? Would I supply the materials - would appreciate any input, especially from Picus.

You can, but I think it will probably haze. Carnuba would be for looks only since it can't come close to the protection offered by Zaino. Just use Zaino by itself.

I have been using Zaino since 1997 and I am yet to see & try anything better.... Here is a pic of my old car with many many coats of Zaino over the years..... It has been too cold for me to apply zaino on the E92 since it made it back from Munich... I will post pics of it once I get to it :-)
