Not a hope in hell of a type r keeping up with a mapped
330d your a dreamer. Standard 330d does
14.5. Type R struggle to get into 14s. With tuning and stripped
interior they get into 14s

i give up...senseless arguing for a type r in a bmw forum...as well as it would be oppposite in a honda forum so..mapped 320d is way faster than type r and 330d hell faster. (ill continue arguing about this in a honda forum ) if i just still had my teg i would immediately go out on the street and test it. just funny that my teg with a complete exhaust system was even able to keep up with a stock 335d. its just my personal experience, and thats what counts for me. in your eyes the beemers are faster and i leave you beeing happy believing it - END.

Your an idiot then. Teggy ain't gonna keep up with 330d let alone 335d.
They wernt trying obviously. Typical hot hatch
driver getting confused and thinking the other car is racing. These
cars muller it from
a
standing start let alone a rolling 60mph. Oh and a mapped 320d won't kill a type r but keep up untill hit higher speeds then pull
away.

True fact is what were talking here. Your dilusional. The 320d 1/4mile times posted prove it's as quick.

He doesn't speak for all of us. You are more than welcome. He has a tendency to reduce many a thread to a mapping 1/4 mile time war.

Carl, show some manners.

tegs from 13.97-14.7s @ 1/4mile

an alpina d3 biturbo which is definitely faster (biturbo engine from 123d, bigger aircooler, exhaust system) than a normal mapped 320d was tested by german magazine auto, motor & sport with 15.2 @ 150km/h.

those are hard facts. and i liked how the r made my ears bleed, in my 320d i almost fall asleep every time..excuse me beeing eager about this discussion but maybe its just that i miss my hondas after all, still the beemer is a good choice as economical daily driver.

What does that prove. There Highly modified versions. Stock Type-R dont get anywhere near that. (13.9-14.7)

Still slower than a standard 335i/335d. Even in highly tuned trim.

In standards trim they're no quicker than a mapped 320d.

nope, they are not highly modified. or is removing a spare tire highly modified?
i guess mapping or boosting a car is closer to the term highly modified...

Standard Type R cannot get into 13's standard, they struggle toi get into 14's.

Sell yor 320d, buy a 335 or go and get another Honda, actually do that. Take it to the strip and see how you get on.
