nice writeup on edmunds,

"If you're thinking about buying an entry-level luxury car this year, your attention will undoubtedly turn to the 2007 BMW 3 Series, which we consider the top candidate in this class by a significant margin."

http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/bmw/...44/review.html

I was talking to my friend that has a 5-series and he said, "there's just something different about the BMW's, they just provide that extra something that really hooks you". can't wait, sooooo close.

I think it looks a bit closer to the coast actually.

I'll be buying the car, I had planned on leasing but the MF numbers on the E90 lease S*CK. I usually only keep my cars for a couple of years max, I'm already thinking that once I start driving the 328 the your ride will be looking really good in another year. We'll see if the 328 provides enough power for my everyday driving.

how bout u? lease or buy?

the mf went down alot!! it went down from .00285 to .00190. Thats a huge drop. Prob be 60-80 off a monthly payment. My MF went down from .00200 to .00175 and my payment dropped down 25 bucks a month. Lease it! your dealer should give you the new rate!

WHAT??? holy Cr*p that is a big change, that's like $2500 difference over 36months!

Last time I brought up leasing to my the Finance Manager I felt he was bending me over. Are you having trouble getting BMW's MF base rate? my dealer offered me a MF mark up of .0004 to a total of .0032 in October. Also leasing in NY and MD sucks because you have to pay the whole sales tax. not sure how that shakes out.

OK, leasing looks DAMN good now, so I need advice. How do I get my dealer to give me the .0019? AND how does the tax thing work? do you pay it up front?

thanks BMW335TT.

this is my 4th bmw since 2002 and i always get the base rate.. I dont know why they are trying to bump it that high. Im paying the taxes in my payments.. about 48 bucks a month. Tell them you know the rate is .00190 and see what they say.

This is from my calculation from the tracking map. The ship travels about 10 degrees (not sure what the official term is) every 24 hours. On Nov. 9, 18:00 the Liberty was at about -65 degrees. The destination is roughly -74 degrees making the remaining distance 9 degrees:

10 degrees: 24 hours
1 degree: 2.4 hours...

Therefore, 9 degrees is 21.6 hours remaining since Nov. 9, 18:00 (UTC). It also seems that the ship has been traveling slower than before and it will probably slow down when it nears the port. Taking that into account, the new estimate is 23 hours from Nov. 9, 18:00 (UTC). From these numbers, the eta is Nov. 10, 17:00 (UTC) which is 12:00 PM eastern time.

Also note that when the ship arrives, there may be no avaliable docks and the ship will have to wait/wander around for a few hours; this is what happened when it was heading towards Belgium. Hopefully this won't be a problem when it reaches us.

My mom bought a car there last year from Ricardo. Guy gave her a bad deal. The quote from him for the coupe I'm getting in a week was also pretty bad; I ordered mine from Wide World of Cars in Spring Valley, NY.
