I don't care if he takes better photos because he has thousands of dollars of equipment. At least I'm not an asshole. He can take his best photographer award and brag all he wants because I'm happy with my photos, and my photoshop abilities, and yes my dumb cheap crappy point and shoot. At least I make the most of what I have.

You can be fine with the camera and equipment you have, but why the hostility towards people who have professional equipment? Just because you feel you don't need certain things doesn't mean others have to feel the same way.

I don't give a shit about the equipment that either of you guys use. When I look at either one of your photos, I am always amazed by what you see as picture worthy. Both of you guys have a keen vision for finding the best caption of any object that I would never have noticed myself. I am extremely jealous that you guys have this special talent.

That's enough.
Everyone has gotten WAY too heated in this thread. Just end it. Some people have money for the good shit, and their work reflects it. Some people DON'T have the money, and they do the best they can. Still others DON'T have the money, but don't WANT the expensive stuff, because they can still look at their own work and feel very proud, no matter WHAT anyone else thinks. Let's all shake hands and END IT, ok? No more arguing, no more attacks, no more pokes. You might think its all in good fun, but people are getting pissed. |

I said that if I was going to spend the $600 that it will take for me to get an entry DSLR, I'd RATHER spend $600 on my car. |

To me creativity is a product of the imagination, an idea a concept made into a reality that is unique and significant. People will go to great extents to be creative. Driven by their passion, money no longer matters. To some $700 on a camera rig or $300 on a tripod are a necesity to pursue creativeness;while to some it's a complete waste of cash.
I admire those who make the best from what is had and I give high regards to those who do it well and unique. Both Diesel and Nikki have a good eye for composition and it reflects in their photo's. Arguing over who can spend what is meaningless and a waste of time. Expensive camera's, rigs and equipment is worthless if there is no content.

I am not pissed Matt. I have been smiling this whole time. I like arguing with Nikki she always goes against my grain and still have nothing against her no matter how heated it gets.
