Even if the numbers aren't close its all about knowing how to launch... I beat a fricken Mustang GT500 last time I was at Atlanta Drag Way.... just cause you have a better car doesn't mean you'll win.

First time at the track with my evo, my 60' was 2.0 then 1.7s. And that's not even considered good. I've seen as low as 1.3s 60' out of 600whp evo.

I've got about 300 passes under my belt actually, so you can spare me the education about drag racing. The bottom line is, it's not a controlled environment and there are a huge number of variables. At least with the magazine tests they have some control. So what you're suggesting, basically, is that there's no way the Camaro drivers are going to match the magazine times, and then the BMW drivers are going to turn around and best them. When you start talking about trap speeds, you further my point. The 335i isn't even CLOSE to the REAL WORLD trap speeds the Camaro SS sees, which is 110MPH+. Show me a stock 335i that's trapping 110MPH please! Since you think Drag Times is a good source, here you go: http://www.dragtimes.com/Chevrolet-C...lip-18592.html |

The Camaro is that fast?! No friggen way?
I'm in the market for a new car, was eye-balling the 335ix and I had a friend from kansas city gmc try to sell me an 06 Camaro. I just laughed him off saying I didn't want to downgrade that much, and he really got upset like I was seriously rude. Should I be chewing on my foot? |

And yes Camaros are fast. LSx motors handle very well to mods. |
