+1 on that. Good launch is crucial at the strip.
First time at the track with my evo, my 60' was 2.0 then 1.7s. And that's not even considered good.
I've seen as low as 1.3s 60' out of 600whp evo.

To answer your question a V6-powered base Camaro can sprint to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds. Your 335i can do 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. You clearly won

these 2 should hug their parents.....guy is on his 2nd bmw in high school and the other has a brand new 335 w mods.

if you knew what to look for in the info provided you might have not replied. Let me elaborate...traps measure the potential of the vehicle and the times represent the combination of driver and vehicle capabilities. For example I ran a 9.0 but still @ 85 mph. My traps don't fluctuate w/ my times as much as the d/a would effect it. If you were at the track and racing the viper you might have won but his trap would have been much higher than yours.

I've got about 300 passes under my belt actually, so you can spare me the education about drag racing.

The bottom line is, it's not a controlled environment and there are a huge number of variables. At least with the magazine tests they have some control.

So what you're suggesting, basically, is that there's no way the Camaro drivers are going to match the magazine times, and then the BMW drivers are going to turn around and best them.

When you start talking about trap speeds, you further my point. The 335i isn't even CLOSE to the REAL WORLD trap speeds the Camaro SS sees, which is 110MPH+. Show me a stock 335i that's trapping 110MPH please!

I'm in the market for a new car, was eye-balling the 335ix and I had a friend from kansas city gmc try to sell me an 06 Camaro. I just laughed him off saying I didn't want to downgrade that much, and he really got upset like I was seriously rude.

Should I be chewing on my foot?

There were no 06 Camaros, 4th gen Camaros stopped in 2002, 5th gens came out in 2009.

And yes Camaros are fast. LSx motors handle very well to mods.
