One question regarding auto-mapping. Will performance remain consistent? Also, since stage maps are gone, is there a possibility of being able to control user torque % with the p3 vent gauge?

Awesome, this update is looking to be very popular. Anxious to try it out this afternoon Shiv. Hopefully the weather stays good till I get your email. Crossing fingers.

So with the new 02 sim, you won't get CEL's, but you wont be able to pass the odbII port emissions test because the readiness code is not set? Kind of seems like an incomplete solution if that is true?

Running CANclear Catalyst will not keep your car from achieving readiness, in itself, since it only automatically clears codes once they are pending. If you don't get any pending catalyst codes (ie, you are running cats or an o2 modifier/downpipe fix), you will STILL achieve readiness with the CANclear function ON.

But then you will introduce the potential problem that we are trying to eliminate in the first place.

Shiv
Wow. That's a big deal. Most have been expecting two things from an o2 sim:

1) No CEL's
2) Pass ODBII port emissions testing

Even if it wasn't your goal to provide #2 , it has worked in the past and now it is going bye-bye.

I have AR High flow cats, but the magnaflow version. They will pass an ODBII emissions test now with old bmw software. This means if I ever get a software update, I will have to go out and buy new HFC cats that will pass emissions with the new BMW software, or go back to stock cats at the time of emissions.

I don't know anyone switching DP's when they go to the track and then back when they leave the track.

I do understand you cant officially support #2 but it was nice that it worked before. Many people across the USA will be either doing alot of labor, or paying for alot of labor to do the downpipe swaps based on the emissions testing frequency.

Would be nice to leave both functional and create user adjustable parameter to choose which you wanted to employ.

Ok, I see you edited your response. It still seems unclear/muddy.

If someone is running catless, then the act of no cats will keep you from acheiving readiness, and not the CANClear - result is failed ODBII - emissions test.

The answer to pass emissions is:

1) to run cats, or
2) an o2 modifier/downpipe fix

You don't provide #2 as part of your offerings, right? People will need to look elsewhere for that solution if they want it?

I did have to go that low for it to work properly but I removed the o2 sim function as shiv told me to in anticipation for this update

Shiv, I recall previously that stage 3 and higher maps have less top end boost taper, how will the progressive mapping taking this into account? Doesn't really make sense to me, unless this is just temporary until auto-tuning take care of things
