actually I think the world can end anytime and we can't predict or prevent it. an asteroid about 5 miles would wipe 90% of us out and one bigger than 10 miles would completely destroy everything for million of years to come.

not all mexicans but yes some in the yucatan peninsula, you can still find mayans in guatemala too, i went to antigua guatemala a while back and they still speak weird tongues and wear different clothes, they kinda look like the people from apocalypto but with clothes. and where the ruins of the mayan pyramids in Peten guatemala are, i came across them there too. i thought it was cool because it looks like time stood still.
