Done... let's start getting those names up!

Off the top of my head hotels in Douglas with carparking would be the Hilton, Castle Mona or Sefton. The rest rely on on street parking that is reasonably plentiful given the 1.5 mile promenade, but could see you some considerable distance from the hotel.

I can only quote experience of the Hilton carpark, which is off road behind the hotel and shared with the fitness club. There is an overflow area behind this that is like a bit of wasteground and slightly bumpy, but no worse than Belvior castles grass!

The Sefton quotes a 31 space underground secure carpark and the Castle Mona doesn't say any more than it has parking.

Prices of all three are going to be about £70~100 a night from a quick web search. A twin room at the hilton shows online as £76 a night at the moment and the Sefton a whopping £105.

Santon Motel looks good, but is a 15~20 min drive from Douglas.

Not to alarm anyone here. So far, the cost of the Isle of Man Tour is:
£165 (+£10 fuel surcharge) for the ferry and £40-210 for lodging. This comes to £215-385 before petrol/diesel costs and entertainment. That's OK with me; I've been saving my Confederate money for just such an event.

But will Viv? I'm beginning to think Viv isn't as hardcore as he claims to be.

I have a few things to sort out before I can definitely say yes.

You're not implying I am 'softcore', are you Floyd?!

Guys (and gals if there are any ),

We need a reasonable group to justify the trip. If we cant get at least five E90's I'd be disappointed.

Why is everyone being big jessie's? Just because I will leave everyone for dust on the TT roads, everyone thinks its not worth going?

Apparently my Dad did that years ago. His bike ran out of petrol on the mountain and he was coasting down the mountain. When he got to the Creg he braked and only then twigged that he had no engine braking. Somehow he managed to slide across the carpark and come to a halt inches from a wall, nonchalantly get off the bike and saunter into the bar to the applause of all the spectators.... though he needed a few stiff drinks to settle the nerves!
