Can someone answer my question - is the ecu socketed or is it a "flash"? Do I need to send in my ECU?

I might be due for a 74 run over to San Juan Capistrano. That'll put me pretty close to you.

Another site is doing a dyno comparison between the various different tunes, and I'll be taking my car up there. I've been working with the organizer to make sure wherever we go can pull diesel torque #'s, so hopefully I'll have something hard by then.

Terry/Mike may have something before then, though (or one of the other prototype/beta testers).

Had an opportunity to run the car at a 1/8th last night. Biggest problem I had was grip, as the track was primarily asphalt (it's @ Qualcomm Stadium), but my best # was a respectable one, I think. This was with JBD @ 100%.

Run was also on Street Tires (225/40ZR18 255/35ZR18 PS2 ZP RFTS)

How's it coming? Out of beta yet?

I got 2009 335d in Wake Forest, NC and I'd love to get ahold of this mod.

Please shoot me a PM if it's available to purchase.

Thanks!

The graph is no lie!! I installed the JBD module earlier today, and I notice much more torque and throttle response than before. I barely need to put down my foot on the accelerator to keep my cruising speed. It's simply amazing!! The route I usually drive on usually gives me 42MPG, with the JBD, contrary to what I expected, it returned 50MPG at an average speed of 65MPH!! I haven't gotten any error codes and will turn up the dial as the week go by... can't wait to see how 100% feels like!

Installed Today

Installed today and check engine light came on shortly after. Everything else feels fine. Left the settings as it came. I will reset the light when I get back to work Tuesday. So far so great except for the CEL coming on. Will keep everyone updated next week. Has anyone else had any codes thrown from the JBD?

The MPG increases are ready by the on board computer I assume? If so, they are likely inaccurate due to the way the JBD fools the DDE in to thinking it is using less fuel than it actually is. I would expect a 1-3mpg increase if you were to hand calculate the fuel consumption...

It lays down two even strips of rubber. It might be a little hard on the rear brakes.

Nice, Ron1n!

8.8's aren't bad! Your 60' is pretty good too, notwithstanding the pavement hookup issues.

I'm still on the 50-60% setting but

No codes so far, but not sure if BT is working right; is anyone using special ECU files with BT cable or just whatever downloads from BT web?
I thought 335d has M57 engine not N57 or 47

Like mentioned above, take the MPG numbers with a huge grain of salt.

This was my first 3 days on JBD:

It normalizes after a while, but the numbers are obviously way out of whack. :P

Did you bump it to 100%, or is it at 100%? If it is, I'd strongly suggest letting it run at 60-65% for a little bit before running it full bore. Did you get the BT with it? If so, have you checked to see what the actual fault code is? If you didn't, I'd strongly suggest getting one.

That's with RFTs, too. Haven't been back since I got normal streets on the car. I *know* the car can do better, and if I put DRs on the car, I'd be likely running low 8's...and that's nothing to sneeze at with no supporting mods whatsoever.

tlak: If you're able to see the Engine, fault codes, etc, you're fine.
