Nope. I bought it because I wanted to have a hp and torque curve like the dyno sheets showed.

Unless you aren't trusting of that information, i dont know what other sheets you would need.

that is not plenty, it is one car, just want more sampling thats all

Hey PresaMat, I've never done a dyno session before but I always assumed they would print it out at the time of the session. Do you know if this varies from shop to shop, or is it a standard procedure to wait until the session is over and then they send it to you?

My car is scheduled to be tuned by Vishnu on the 20th and would be eager to take home hardcopy results that day.

It's pretty standard to get hard copy at the time of the run.

Yes it is standard the get a hard copy at the time of the run. We were planning to but unforunately the shops printer was not working. I actually asked about it because I wanted to bring it home and show my friends for bragging rights . But shiv did save them to his flashdrive so when he gets time he will send them out.

Thanks for clarifying, I feel like I'm in limbo waiting for my session

And I must say if Shiv has somehow figured out how to extract more power than previous tunes so my car is close to yours, I will bow down before Shiv and kiss his beautiful feet.

I do have a small concern about getting the Xede. I've had the car for about 2 months now and have become familiar with it's power, it makes me worried that I will not be able to properly control the immense wheelspin that will occur in first gear versus how "tame" it is now

I believe that even Shiv has said that you should probably just start out in 2nd gear (if you have an Auto/Step, then it normally downshifts to 2nd, not 1st in MM mode anyhow...it won't start off in 1st gear unless you manually downshift all the way down to 1st gear yourself) since there will be too much wheel spin from 1st gear. There's so much HP/TQ that the wheels just spin in 1st gear! :rocks:

As for what gear to start in. In the manual you still start in first gear. The auto is gear differently which I have talked about in other threads which allows it to start in secound. Plus unless your stomping on it - you dont SUPER notice the power. You notice how responsive it is... but when you step on it is when you really go WOW.

You may get 20hp or 30hp more out of an engine just because it is 50 degrees colder outside. Of course, this is just my "seat of the pants torque/hp" meter.

Um...those three vehicles were all dynoed at the same place, around the same time, with the same guy. It has nothing to do with driving conditions. Its indoors with a giant fan blowing into the intercooler.[/QUOTE]

Ideally all engines made would be EXACTLY the same... however, the reality of it is, there are manufacturing tolerances which can make one engine stronger than another. If the pistons rings seal better on one engine vs another, than it could make more power. Now start to consider how many parts we are talking about, from the intake manifold, cylinder head, valves, engien block, pistons, piston rings, crank, transmission, driveshaft, even the wheels, all this add up to differences in power production.

with all the extra power is the car still civil in city driving/stop and go traffic? also, does dsc/dtc interfere much when you are driving normally?

Ummm, if you start in M1, and turn DTC off, you will get immense wheel spin in 1st and still some in 2nd, stock!

don't ask me how i know

Well keep in mind that the stock cars were making 10-15whp more on that dyno than the other dynos I've used in California. So i think it read on the high side. The % gains are certainly valid, but i'd be hesitant to expect those cars to put down those same exact numbers on every other dynojet. Just don't want people to get dissapointed if/when their cars come up short

Couldnt this also be attributed to the 91 vs 93 octane diff??
