The wheel was actually a gift and was ordered from the US. I do know they're about a third of the price here. The useless supplier forgot to include the cables and module, so I won't be installing this bad boy for another week or two

You have suppliers giving you gifts!? :P
That sucks - I was hoping to be able to see your wheel in action. No matter - will have to catch up after you get the cables and module! Didn't realise you actually needed an actual module (FRM?) I don't suppose you can use mine?

Lights are installed. Can confirm you only need one set of those retrofit cables as the 2 boot lights use existing cables.
Install was surprisingly easy - took about 30mins. Lights all work, except they flicker for a few seconds at startup (bulb check) and idrive says error for left and right turn signals. Consequently, the blinkers flash fast like a ghetto old commodore with a blown bulb. Will get bulb check disabled and hopefully solve all these issues. Otherwise it's off to the dealer and purchase the new FWM3. Fingers crossed. Here's a photo of them turned on. The photos don't do them justice, they really do look much better and meaner in person. Haven't seen any on the road yet, feel like a first Will get a daytime photo tomorrow |

J, I'm liking it! - Totally agree with you - you should feel like you have a brand spanking new 335i!
Although I have to say that those photos do look a little ghetto :P Love the colour of your car mate! BTW - if you have an issue with your FWM.... might be able to use mine!?

The photo looks terrible and it was the best of a bad batch. Need to wait till daytime.
Thanks mate, I will try code my FWM2 for the lights and if that doesn't work, I might try your module that BMW will presumably be replacing, if that's ok? It's apparently hit and miss whether individual FWM's will re-code. Otherwise I will take it to the dealer. The steering wheel has a module that is just a control box that installs under the dash. |

Yup - that's cool mate - my FWM may be well "codable" but because I'm having my dealership do the coding.... they want the FWM3 (which I'm cool with).
Are you going to get your coding done up the coast at Mark's place? I'll be picking up my car on Saturday morning. I sooooooo can't wait!

That looks spot on jarrad i look at that bmw performance wheel all the time matches my bmw performance handbrake boot and gear boot lights look great all you need is the front head lights.
My m3 control arms and tension struts arrived yesterday but one strut was labeled wrong and ended up with a 1series 120i strut instead of m3 strut from bmminiparts talk to toby and hes sorting that out. Just on those m3 arms they are $140aud in the uk and $455 each from bmw here.ouch Buying the air conditioning filter and oil filter etc, next order as well. There is so much stuff i love to get from the uk like bmw performance carbon fibre trim would look great.

Hi Gus,
Can you not find anyone with an Autologic up there in QLD. I looked into the programming in my tool today while i retrofitting a bluetooth and the retrofit has a section for update tail lights, looks straight forward (if you don't need a footwell module.) |
