Nissan GTR 1/4 mile time = 11.9
LFA 1/4 mile time = 11.8

Worth the money??? Yes to millionaires who have driven lexus' their whole lives and now a couple years from the grave they finally decide to blow some cash. I'll be willing to bet the average age of the LFA owners will be the oldest of ANY other super car out there by at least 15 years.
Lol how long do you think Lexus has been around?

I think we'll see a lot of athelete/celebrity types, given the stipulation from Lexus that you're supposed to actually drive it, along with the fact that some of those types:

A) Love to blow money, and
B) Would love to be seen in something "special"

I don't think the average age will be unusually high at all. Of course, if Lexus required the prospective buyer to be able to read the words in the "application", that would disqualify a lot of the atheletes. Criminal background checks as well....

I'm just saying i think that most younger people with money (such as movie stars and pro-athletes) would want a "cooler" brand than lexus.

Lexus "fanboy" car....lots of lexus owners i know will only ever drive that brand...i guess like a BMW loyalist...so now the rich ones will be all excited to get the lexus "super car". just like when the SC430 came out, everyone in the lexus clubs freaked out over it, but if you look at any SC430 on the road 9 times out of 10 it is some old guy/girl driving it

FYI: You can't buy the LFA yet. It's lease only. So don't worry about it too much OP.

IF there was 375K itching a hole in my pocket..

599 GTB Fiorano HGTE. He had much to do with it's design changes from the standard 599.

I read it beat the Scud around their track by 4.5 seconds. Oh Billy.

Hmmm. This design philosophy/heritage or a car that breaks a glass in a commercial break during a Jersey Shore re-run?

You can easily ignore certain "members" with the IGNORE feature.

Welcome and don't mind the wanna be post cops.

What's funny is they sit and "chat" with each other all night and all day. Look any time and there they are chat'n up a storm. You bring up a car thread and they want to have you banned. Hilarious.

Men chatting. No.

im gonna get flamed for this post but seriously who does toyota/lexus think they are for pricing this car at $375k? this is their first supercar and they price it this high? hah

there are a numerous amount of cars out there (that actually have a true heritage to their name i.e. rolls royce.... even though i know they arent performance bred, lamborghini, ferrari) in this price range that i would already have over this LFA even though there are no reviews/numbers/etc etc

I was actually intrigued by this car and it really turned my head!

SO I went to the Lexus website and was actually saying to myself WOW not a bad ride, I can order it in Pink, Purple, Aqua, or about 30 other colors.. Ohh and Alcantara is an option!! WOO HOO!

I was thinking as many times I saw this car on a commercial on cable TV it would prob run around $100,000 to $120,000..

Then I got to the price and I LOL'd hard.....

4.8L V10 552hp
9000 max RPM
202mph top speed
Starting at $375,000

Starting at $375,000???

Starting at $375,000???????

STARTING AT $375,000!!!!!!! LMAO

Now I am not hating on Lexus owners here but hear me out on this..

Why would anyone pay $375k for this car when you can get a BRAND NEW Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, etc for less??

I swear Lexus has gone bonkers.. This car is no where near a Lambo, Porsche, Or Ferrari...

BRAND NEW Prices Below (all are starting base prices)

2011 Lexus LFA - $375,000
2010 Lambo Gallardo - $221,000
2010 Lambo Murcielago - $354,000
2009 Ferrari 599 - $320,580
2009 Ferrari F430 - $218,310
2010 Ferrari California - $192,000
2010 Porsche 911 Turbo - $143,000
2010 Audi R8 - $146,000
2010 Aston Martin DBS - $273,000

Its one thing to try to compete with Mercedes and BMW but I think they are way in over their head trying to go after the exotics..

Its sad enough people spend alot of money on a Lexus then three years down the road you can buy the exact car with Toyota Camry badges...

Whats your thoughts?
I agree with this guy, Lexus is on crack.

I saw a black 599 on the road today for the first time. Oh my, pictures don't do this car justice. it is best looking ferrari right now IMO....way better looking than an f430 or scuderia which I saw multiple times already.

i would take the 599 over the LF-A now. LOL

The proof is in the pudding. If Lexus sells all of the cars, then everything we've speculated about the price is nothing but hot air. Does anyone know how many LFA's are spoken for?

Thats interesting. If thats the case, then why are we even having discussions about whether or not Toyota over priced the car? It sounds like they hit the sweet spot as far as price and demand is concerned. In fact, they probably could have raised the price a bit. I personally wouldn't have paid 400k for the car, but obviously there are people who will.

Yes, I believe that all of them allocated for the NA market were sold. I think lexus allocated more however.

I believe that the Lexus is an excellent car, however it it overpriced for what you get, like the original McMercedes SLR.

But to people with hundreds of millions of dollars, they really don't give a shit if it costs 400k or whatever. I believe that the reason the price is so high is because it has literally been in development for 10 years.

Ding ding.

They could have put a permanent pink bow on the roof and it would have sold out as long as it is a limited car.

I am not knocking Lexus. Good for them but the populace that would pay 400K for that is as limited as it's production.

In the end I at least hope they get some bang for the mega buck.

Maybe the ass end is not so bad with black paint.

I know about this car but it is sold out and will be north of 1/2M for anyone wanting to cut in line. The HGTE is available to Joe Shmoe for under 400K. Comparing expensive apples to expensive apples. And yes, that is a bad mutha.
