Just got back from the dealer today and found out I am on the Trinidad too. I guess I'll be watching this thread and checkin sailwx for my 328i coupe with the rest of you guys. Let's hope a little christmas magic gets it here quick!

Yes, but with 6,000 European cars in the cargo hold .... I could probably keep mysel busy window shopping for a week ...

Just came back from Passport, BMW at MD

Had a brief run through of 750LI functionalities. Cant wait to actually get the car. Going to take it to NY for the New Year.

The Trinidad hasn't shown up on sailwx yet. That site is voluntary so we may not see it on there at all.

Shouldn't make any difference in the delivery date - the VPC will be closed until the 26th in any case.

Manhattan? Scares the hell out of me every time I have to surrender my car to the valet for parking! I make bloody well certain that they see me write down the mileage, and I give the guy a few bucks and say, "Please take care of my car."

When I got the M5, I was in NY twice when I'd had the car for about 6 weeks. When I got the GTI, I took it to NY the night I got it. I think I'll have the 335i in NY about a week or two after I take delivery.

I just talked to my CA - I just sold my current car and asked for an updated delivery projection so that I could make arrangements over the holiday.

Here's the latest - the Trinidad is scheduled to arrive in NJ on the 24th (as noted on the WW website). He said that BMWNA just cancelled vacations for the majority of people at the VPC and in within their distribution network for next week. Apparently, severe storms in the Atlantic have put BMW behind schedule for a lot of December deliveries. For example, he said that the Trinidad was originally scheduled to arrive in NJ today (12/21), but it has been pushed back a couple of times.

As such, they've cancelled vacations in what would traditionally be a slow week, in an effort to catch up.

The net of it - he is almost certain that I will be able to take delivery of my car sometime toward the end of next week

Granted, I am in NJ, so there is not a lot of transit time from the VPC to the dealer.

I've got my fingers crossed that he is right!

Have any of you gotten projections from your dealers yet?

My dealer told me the same thing about the Trinidad originally scheduled to be in on the 21st. He told me I may be in it before the end of the year. The last car I got only took 3 days from the time the boat docked for me to get it in Rhode Island. It is not a very far drive for the trucks from the VPC. I hope to have it at the dealership by the 28th so they can install the alarm on the 29th and I can take delivery on the Saturday. My dealer mentioned nothing about vacations being canceled though. I want it by next Saturday so I have a full weekend to enjoy it before another work week.

Yep, should be getting close now. I just checked the WW site - it still says that the ship is scheduled to arrive in NJ today - The AIS site doesn't have the port of Newark in detail, so it is very hard to see if it is there. I guess that we just have to wait.

Hopefully delivery is soon (especially because I've already sold my car). I'll let you know when my dealer calls.

My car was listed as 'Discharged' this morning on the WW cargo tracking site ...

Onto the VPC .... getting closer ....

Mine was listed as discharged as well. Let's hope to a short stay at the VPC. I want it by this weekend.
